It's already here. Next will be National Identity Cards, and Gov't
records from every tooth you had pulled to just about everytime you f@rt.
The President's claim of executive authority to ignore the Fourth Amendment and violate federal laws in the name of protecting national security has no apparent limits. Under the Bush administration's argument, federal law enforcement could seemingly go into anyone's home, at any time, without a warrant by claiming that it might better catch terrorists. There is simply no obvious stopping point, and that's what makes the president's claim of broad executive power so alarming. Nor is there any reason to believe that warrantless wiretapping is needed to protect national security.

It's is getting just like "1984" even the language is becoming different mostly one syllable words, not talking bad about the people in charge, control of the media. Not to mention the blind masses

Yes, well they even have the show "Big Brother" and check out all the cameras on the roads watching everyone. I look at the streets and all these cameras on every intersection is rather peculiar. check out europe becoming european union and nafta in place in the americas and last but not least asean for the asian community. 1984 is coming true slowly. Orwellian prophecy huh.

I was very young in 1984, really all I remember was that year I stopped going to summer camp. I started kindergarden, didnt like school much because I "didnt play well with others". Im sure if big brother were paying attention they already knew that.

It's not just you. There are so many similarities that it's scary. The flat screen TV's in people's houses displaying endless hours of "Reality" shows; the way the government is snooping into everyone's life; the way history and the news is twisted and distorted constantly. Very creepy, and getting worse all the time.

No, the technological advances available to the masses prevents any real government from hiding/altering the past and so are unable to control the future :)

Definetly not just you. We are being manipulated by the gov't, the media, world economics, fear and led to believe by some fanatics that the other half are fanatics so there can only be right and wrong. You're either with the system or against it. Sad, but true....

Is Big Brother doing it or is the terrorist forcing it on us? The technology is there to enable Big Brother. It isn't adequate to stop the terrorist. Thankfully they don't think as well as MacGyver.
