Because the government doesn't want to give people the time to discover th truth about 9/11.
If everyone took the day off, then someone would arrange marches to government offices to demand the truth about 9/11, instead of the pack of lies presented in th official 9/11 commission report.
What an unbelievable conspiracy theory that is!!
