Wake up and smell the roses....I live in China, and the people here are communists and as capitalistic as can be...and you use the word God freely, as Muslims believe in God and there is no edict saying that they can't make money, or India with many Gods chase the almighty $$$$, Russia does a pretty good capitalistic job...Malaysia is a good mix of Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Taoists, and others and they have a very nice economy. You seem to equate communism with poverty or at least communal enterprizes....sorry...don't work that way...communism is a device that creates equality first, and then is later translated into a capitalism as individuals progress and a more democratic communistic system develops.

For the sake of your question let's stipulate that Jesus was a communist. Communism would be ideal if all people were as good hearted as Jesus. The fact is they are not. Communism has failed everywhere it has been tried because it denies the dynamics of human nature. People are not stupid and will not work hard enough to bring prosperity if their efforts must be shared equally with the lazy. Capitalism exploits the dynamics of human nature by allowing private property and private prosperity. If a person works hard and can keep the fruits of their labor then they do their best and society benefits from it. You need to learn the distinction between religion and politics and how they relate.

Jesus was not a communist.
The communists started that conspiracy theory years ago to encourage communism.
The little rich hippies of the sixties picked up on it and expanded it to communes.
You should be visited by men in white suits and a net. For nuts.

You raise a fair point although he was a socialist not really a communist. Something i find amusing is that Jesus treated everyone correctly regardless of their sins or beliefs. George Bush Senior stated in 1987 that atheists were unpatriotic and shouldnt hold a position in office. This is still law in some states of the US.

Although some of communism has some christain like redeeming qualities, Jesus was not the founder of communism, but the Church. He was a capitalist in a greater sense. He was also a building contractor.

Religion in EU is separated from the state, country and the system of the country. Besides, a lot of Europeans are atheist. So, religion doesn't effect policy of the country. Religion is something personal and should not have public effect.

Principles of communism are acceptable to all. there is some truth in your statement that jesus was communist. But the way communist governments were established and run - there was nothing communistic about them. each one was autocratic, hypocratic, theocratic and dictatorial. Communism does not accept any of these.

Communism is a political/economic theory. Jesus was apolitical despite many of his followers' hopes for him to become a political figure. His was a spiritual message.
