Mr Jack Hackett I am in no doubt that it is not easy to run a country and I am not qualified to do so. But judging by Mr Blairs performance neither is he. He should have stuck to what he was good at.

I am aware this is a coloquial saying, and generally on the spot- however I would have to argue that that Blair is NOT taking the mickey out of the English. Mickey is an American cartoon character. I would suggest 'taking the Danger out of the english'. For 2 reasons. Firstly because danger is precisely where he is placing the English - thats for all you irony freaks out there. Secondly to draw on a UK mouse, as against a US mouse - Danger Mouse, not Mickey Mouse.

You bet, and it isn't just him, the Cabinet is full of them, and other important posts. Although I would describe it in much stronger language than, "taking the mickey"; how about "destroying".

Don't worry, it has been noted.
