If not complete transparency, at least pretty close.

Allowing the people to track and understand what the government is doing is essential to any system where the people hold the voting power, whether a direct democracy or democratic republic.

The utter transparency of the Bush Administration and their own agenda is quite new. But it highlights how very UN-Democratic the country has become. His blatant disregard for any other authourity apart from his own shows this clearly.

The US givernment's attitudes when it comes to its foreign policy has stayed largely the same, but it was always in the past, conducted it with a lot more subtlety and subterfuge. Bush has blown that out of the water and in doing so has actually highlighted the need for the people to take charge again and vote once more for democracy.

Transparency in the day to day workings is good. It prevents trickery by government officials.

Transparency of secrets that should not fall into hands of those wishing our nation harm is a bad thing. The highest duty of government is to protect the Lives of its people - which often requires keeping information quiet that might be useful to enemies.

There is no democracy or Republic (we have a Republic) when people are dead.

It is good for the Government since many people ask how the fund is being spent.

Besides, the democratic country gave freedom to all to know what happening inside the Government.

Democracy gave all the freedom so that many people will understood about what matter most.

Being good is to know more about of it.

The bad side? If you found that the Government lost the amount of money because of thieves.
