As most of my friends know, I'm not a Republican or a fan of American politics. It's hard to trust the Bush adminstration. Every press conference by the Republican party is shrouded in political spin and lies. I can't stand the fact that the American people can't even have access to the president, either through the media or at large political conventions as the audience is chosen from an elite group of devoted republicans. That is why we get questions like, "thank you Mr President for doing such a wonderful job". Yet is this approach working? Is the American public being fooled? To some extent, yes, Bush is a second term president, but when you look at the polls, his approval ratings has dropped to their lowest value in the last eight years and America's standing with other nations is at an all time low. President Clinton may have made some mistakes in the past but at least he was cool, his style didn't rub countries up the wrong way with his arrogant rhetoric.
