Is that not an insult and a desecration to the memoires of all our soldiers who have died fighting for our american freedom

An insult to our fallen soldiers would be for us to give up. Honoring our soldiers would be to keep fighting the good fight and not allow defeat.

Well, the flag they burned may have been made by the manufacturer right here in my hometown, so the joke is on the dumb asses who burn it. They had to pay money (or some one did) to get that flag, so they are supporting the capitalist society they hate.

Does it piss me off? Yes and no. It's definitely a display of their hatred for us. Then again, they can burn the flag without killing our spirit. They can spit on us without breaking our resolve. This country isn't about a flag-the flag is merely a symbol. This country is about freedom-something they are too wrapped up in hatred to every have.

I pity them.

I think burning the flag is protected under the constitution, under freedom of speech. If its not against the law then I'm cool with it. I love my country and all that comes with it Freedom of speech, Freedom of Religion. I did not see the news clip that you speak of, but if you don't like it, do what I do. Turn the channel, as a matter of fact turn off the tv and read a good book. No its not an insult to the memory of our soldiers they fought so that we would and could have the right to do something like burn a flag even ask a question about burning a flag. In some countries you can't do that. But this is America and we have that right and if someone wants to excersise it; God Bless Them. I personally would not burn a the American Flag I love it too much. But I respect someone elses right too. Because that is their right under the constitution.

No I don't think its an insult to the soldiers that have died. They died so people would have that freedom, along with many others. Yes, the Stars and Stripes is a symbol of our country but it is after all a piece of cloth. I would much rather they burn the flag then blow up buildings or people.

I am one of those old hippies, and if someone doesn't start doing something to rebel against the "Bush Regime" we are not going to have any rights left at all by the time they get done. All of this chaos gives them more power over us, such as martial law, etc., burning the flag is just where we need to start! Look how stupid you are allowing this to take up our time and thoughts and tear us apart even more! It keeps them all the more powerful as long as we are all arguing over stupid chit like this. This government is out of control, and you are worrying about the action, and not what it means, it doesn't mean you are not a good American if you don't agree with the criminals in power...HELLOOOOOOO
What is wrong with this generation? We at least got up and try-ed to make a change, most "hippies" didn't hate the soldiers we hated seeing them die. SO DID THEY THEY DIDN'T WANT TO BE THERE ANYMORE! TALK TO ONE OF THEM, THEY ARE STANDING ALL OVER THE STREETS, HOMELESS. We should burn the whole GD white house down, and get those kids home.
Oh no we're to busy on our computers arguing over the flag! No wonder we're f'd. Go back to your video games, you've had your break. Dead *** generation. Where's your brains, been sitting on them too long playing Sega.

Come on .. burning the flag is just a symbol to protest against the American administration and their ill calculated adventures everywhere in the world .. not at all against a single American person.. this in not only happening in the middle east .. look at Chinese,, Korean, Latin Americans, middle eastern, Asians , people is fed up with the superiority complex and complicated ego of some western governments .. who wanna reclassify the world into layers and levels like Nazi ..
The flag is just to let ever body wake up to the suffer of the dieing kids who spends all they have in pocket to buy the piece of flag fabric to burn it .. to say no ..to what happened ..

did the war bring any solution or happiness .. did Iraqis became happier .. did Palestinians . did neither the Israeli .. crazy politicians are the killing the dream of liberty not only to Americans but to all the man kind ..

Read deeper between the lines of what you watch on fox , CNN and any other TV channel.

The conflict happened when USA regime closed their ears and eyes not to see the suffer and the victims .. and stayed behind the dummy politicians .. it's not a war against terrorism but against the innocent will of people to select their own way of life .. even if it looks so ugly and poor to some of us ..

It is simple. The flag stands for everything they hate. To them it is only natural. I think you made a good point - "fighting for our American freedom".

What about their, non-US nationals freedom. They are not trying to insult the memory of dead US serviceman. They are unleashing their frustration at American interference in every corner of the world.

Maybe we could make a flag that explodes like IED when it is burned and sell them to the Arabs cheap? That would be fun than watching a football game!

I'd love to have the Middle East flag concession....

Seems like they go through them rather quickly with all the anniversaries and other celebrations. I always wondered - don't those people have, like, jobs or something?
