All Indians are aware of our poor infrastructure in terms of water, electricity, roads, rail, airports, railway stations, bus stations, disaster amangement etc. Our economy is growing and lot of FDI investment is coming to India.Still our government doesnot seem to have any plans to improve the quality of life we are living. If they concentrate on infrastructure I think that will help us in developing rapidly. What are your views

You are right on the money. Without sufficient infrastructure the economy will suffer. India has always had trouble keeping up with the needs of the people. With close to a billion people and a country as large as it is, the task is momumental. It will be years before India comes close to addressing these needs. The government is more content to watch the revenue keep pouring in.

They have taken some steps...they have to ...but its effectiveness is less than 10%. The money they spend on projects are very high...of which they get kickback of around 25%. The companies that take up the project make 65% profit and only allocate 10% of the money on the project....the result will be inadequate infrastructure.

The solution...the spending of money has to be Transparent. The government should come out and show the people how they have spent the money reserved for improving infrastructure. The companies that take up projects from the government should make public they spending records...on what they have spent that much money...The government should penalize the companies for bad quality and waste of time. Because bad quality and waste of time will increase the cost of the project.

Have you heard of Kumaraswamy, the Chief Minister of Karnataka, a southern state in India. He is busy in looting the state and making money for his generations to come.It is stated that he has collected Rs. 150 crs., from the illegal mine owners. They are not satisfied with what his father Devegowda has done till today. They have stalled two infrastructure projects (BMIC- Highway and Metro), because they could not get the share what they wanted. It is not for the people these projects are proposed, but for the politicians and the engineers and the contractors to get their pockets filled up.

Such politicians are in every state of the country. How do you expect the improvement in the infrastructure of the country, when they are after money. Have you noticed that OP Choutala of Haryana, had 140 crores assets? Do you know how much Jayalalitha, MKarunanidhi, YSR Reddy, Laloo, Mulayam et all, have amassed wealth?

Unless all these dirty politicians are hanged in public, the situation in India would not improve.

Kiyon kai paisa politicians or government officials kee jaib mai jaraha hai - This government is corrupt and even Pakistan has suffered from years of power in the hands of the corrupt who rob the country and all the money that comes from this growing econmoy facilitates the growth of their bank account. In hurami kutoon ka kuch nahi kiya ja sukta or jub tuk India mai koi stable or honest government nahi ati (aur woa kabhi nahi hoa ga unfortunately) then the country will contine to suffer from over population and underdevelopment.

The blame goes to us the general public including you and me only, when you or we knows that the current government or previous one do not doing much to improve the infrastrucutre of the country why still keep on voting and selecting them to form the government and rule us? Devolping infrastrucutre obviously will boost the overall development i agree with you on it, do you feel that it is correct time to intervene and topple this govt. and opt for president rule (currently we have a techno savy president) i do believe that avoiding these politicians and something like a president rule can only improve the situation.
