A guy in this situation was sentenced to life imprisonment for allegedly raping a housemaid in the Philippines. He is now serving life in prison. He said, he was innocent to the crime, for he can't even move his butt to do the sexual act as alleged by the housemaid. The housemaid said that he poked a gun at her, but the guy cant even hold a pen in his hand for it was bended on the other directions. The Judge also a woman convicted the poor guy.
He said in live television, during interview with some media in his prison cell, that the judge should have given him the death sentence instead, to end his misery as a paraplegic.

We have spent billions upon billions on a senseless war and give monies as 'aid' to other countries. The elderly can barely eat and cannot afford their medication, Katrina destroyed an entire city, people in the U.S. are hungry, our youth cannot afford college, and the poverty in America is obscene. Why are we spending so much on others rather than helping our own?

When our leaders framed the Indian constitution, they expected to do away with reservations in 10 years. Now, even after 56 years, we are adding on to the list of reserved posts, instead of deleting anything. At this rate, they will even start reservations in sports, and demand that it be included in the Olympics also!
