No, I'm quite certain I know what a patriot is. You see, I just looked it up. Yeah, they have these new things called dictionaries. Well, not anymore, but they still have dictionary.com:

"Patriot (n): One who loves, supports, and defends one's country."

well ill just say this the "patriots" back in the 1780s wanted to get rid of taxation without repsention. if king george had given that to them would we have still fought? probally not this "great man" in our history was a patriot because he loved his homeland not because he led the army that threw them off.

also patriot and patriotic are from the same word and if someone is a patriot then they will give their life for their country

Someone that supports their countries authority and interests. I always thought I was a patriot but I definitely don't support America's authourity (being Bush and his administration)
