They have been brainwashed by crazed preachers and right wing commentators like Druggie Limbaugh and Sex Offender O'Reilly. These propaganda spreaders have managed to focus their sheeply on gay marriage and religion instead of the real issues: war, pollution, a huge deficit, illegal immigration, outsourcing of jobs, etc. They don't want to tax their itty bitty brains with difficult problems.

I am a Christian and I have friends that are democrats and liberals and one is a Christian too so I don't hate all liberals. But I admit extreme cases like activists Cindy Sheehan, Bush hating Dixie Chicks, traitor Jane Fonda, Film producer Michael Moore do get under my skin because they are way out of line,

Not all conservatives are Christian. That is a falsification that liberals use to contest republican policies.
So, I guess I can answer the question with a question: Why do all democrats think republicans get their ideas from religion? Being pro-gun is not Bible-based. Jesus said to throw down your swords, meaning, shun violence.

nice...all liberals are not gay which you know, all liberals are not baby killers, which you know. All liberals do not believe in the right of self defense and would disarm people if they could, because liberals know their agenda of taking money by force to buy votes sooner or later will result in a backlash and they want people disarmed when they need to send in the troops to take taxes at gunpoint.

I think because it works. Distortion of facts, fear and prejudice work with these people. When we had elections here in TX this spring the churches got together and had handouts showing them who to vote for!!! Sad fact, we are a nation of sheep for the most part, Maybe we will wake up before it's too late.

Homosexuality and abortion are both contrary to the Bible. So if the Democrats are pushing for tolerance of homosexual behavior and abortion rights, it's only natural for the Christian Right to think negatively of Democrats.
