Yall wanted liberal's in Congress to rule! You got them!
I thought you guy's wanted the war to end, not send your son's and daughter's to die.
The biggest liberals in Congress now want a draft, just like Republican's told you they would, but seems you didn't listen.
What will you do when your child is ordered to join the military, and fight in Iraq? It doesn't seem you got what you wanted from your liberal candidates, does it?

Hi, the local council is doing it's canvassing sweep-up of those of us who have yet to sign the paper work they sent out asking about who lives in your property, and whether or not you want to be on the edited version of the roll.

Why, if you do not wish to vote or receive finance do you have to sign this paperwork? It gets sold to companies no matter how hard they try to stop it. If I don't want to have all this- can I just not sign the paperwork? Am I likely to receive a fine? I pay my council tax so why should they care if I don't want to be on the electoral roll?

Thanks

Congressman Rangel Will Seek to Reinstate Draft
By JOHN HEILPRIN, AP

WASHINGTON (Nov. 19) - Americans would have to sign up for a new military draft after turning 18 under a bill the incoming chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee says he will introduce next year.

Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., said Sunday he sees his idea as a way to deter politicians from launching wars.

"There's no question in my mind that this president and this administration would never have invaded Iraq, especially on the flimsy evidence that was presented to the Congress, if indeed we had a draft and members of Congress and the administration thought that their kids from their communities would be placed in harm's way," Rangel said.

Rangel, a veteran of the Korean War who has unsuccessfully sponsored legislation on conscription in the past, has said the all-volunteer military disproportionately puts the burden of war on minorities and lower-income families.

Say that you are running for an elected post. The initial results seem to indicate that you've lost, so you call your opponent and congratulate him, and concede. However, the votes continue to come it, and, when totalled, show you to have received a substantial number of votes, so that you have more than your opponent (enough to avoid a recount). Have you won the election, or does the fact that you conceded mean that you have given up, and are just s.o.l.?

I am a proud republican. I stand by my president, not because he is also a republican, but because I have pride in my country and my presidents ability. When people voted in early november, I believe the voted against the president rather then for the candidates themselves. Why?

Well- If you haven't heard. Democrats are calling for a draft. So essentially, the promises they made prior to the election, well they were FALSE. I find it hilarious...Democrats- so typical. They tell AMERICANS i CAN get your troops out of IRAQ. TRUST ME. AND THEN NOW WE FIND OUT THEY ARE ATTEMPTING TO START A NEW DRAFT. wow.

ONE QUESTION FOR THE DEMOCRATS:

"ARE YOU HAPPY YOU VOTED AGAINST PRESIDENT BUSH NOW? ARE YOU CONTENT THAT YOU VOTED FOR PEOPLE YOU DIDN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT? BECAUSE NOW ALL THE NEWLY-ELECTED DEMOCRATS ARE LAUGHING IN YOUR FACE. THEY WON. THERE WILL BE A DRAFT."

=(
