If the elected persons know they only have two(2)terms to get it done they have to hit the ground running. Just like you did on your job. Let's get the thiefs out of Washington, and all the state governments. I say 2 terms and then they get a real job. STAND WITH ME AMERICA

Less than a week after Democrats captured the House on promises to reverse the Republican "culture of corruption," who did Pelosi back to become the No. 2 House leader? Rep. John Murtha D-Pa., who was implicated (though not charged) in one of Washington's most sordid scandals
And who has she refused to rule out as the next chairman of the ultra-sensitive House Intelligence Committee?
None other than Rep. Alcee Hastings ,D-Fla., a former federal judge who was impeached by the House and convicted by the Senate for conspiring to extort a $150,000 bribe in a case before him.Not exactly a flying start for setting a new ethical tone on Capitol Hill Long before Murtha became his party's leading critic of the iraq war, he was caught on a grainy fbi tape in the 1980 Abscam probe, in which undercover agents posed as errand boys for an Arab sheik looking to bribe congressmen for favors. On Thursday, they picked Rep. Steny Hoyer D-Md., over Murtha as majority leader. Since 1999, he has raked in campaign contributions of more than $600,000 from lobbyists.
Pelosi vowed to change Congress' culture. First, she'll have to show that she recognizes corrupt behavior when she sees it.

not a question and i know ill be reported.. but hey.. just wanted to put it out there...

Not been someone who is lives in the US I see a lot of questions bagging the democrats. So I wonder how they won the mid term elections. Why then did they win? People in my country deny voting for John Howard (our PM) and slag off at him all the time too and deny ever voting for the creep. So why then did the democrats win? Why did you vote for the party you did? Will yo vote the same way in 08?

It seems from previously posted questions that republicans are good at slagging off at democrats. Yet from the mid term elections it would seem that the people have gone for the more intelligent alternate. So are there any intelligent republicans or are they just a bunch of babies who can't face electroral defeat. should they change there name to Rebublican (bub for babies)?

Is there any way to find out in advance if your county or voting district will be using Electronic Voting Machines, such as Diebold's?

This is if a person would prefer to send an absentee ballot over using the machines, and needs to know in advance to apply for one.

I can't find out for sure if Missouri uses electronic voting machines in it's elections. If yes, is it everywhere or just some counties? If no, did they use them previously?

He lost the deomocratic primary for US Sebate in September, 2006. So he decided to run as an independent, thus totally abandoning the democratic party. He ends up winning the November, 2006 election. When elected he said he is going to vote democratic AND he retains his seniority in the Senate, which he earned as a democrat, and is going to be the Chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, amongst others committees. If I was from Connecticut, I'd really be p1s$ed !!!
