Difficult to say 100%, but here's a list of some candidates for both parties:
::Republican-------------------------------------------------
-John McCain (R-AZ) = Has formed exploratory committee
-Rudy Giuliani (R-NY) = ditto
-Duncan Hunter (R-CA) = announced candidacy
-Mitt Romney (R-MA) = likely preparing to announce candidacy
-Bill Frist (R-TN) = may form exploratory committee soon
-Sam Brownback (R-KS) = ditto
-Newt Gingrich (R-GA) = Lots of buzz around him though he's still mum on it
-Condoleeza Rice (R-CA/AL) = has repeatedly said she has no intention, but would automatically receive the backing of the President and has already received support from the First Lady and the White House Chief of Staff ( current or former though, I forget).
- Elizabeth Dole = some folks keep bringing her up, but really quite unlikely, especially after Republican losses in the senate (she was chairwoman of the Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee)
::Democratic---------------------------------------------
-Hillary Clinton (D-NY) = The apparent front runner, may announce soon
-Barack Obama (D-IL) = Definitely Hillary's biggest opponent; has a great shot of winning opening primaries in caucuses except NH
-Tom Vilsack (D-IA) = Governor of Iowa, already announced his intentions I think
-John Edwards (D-NC) = Former VP candidate and Senator, probably will come in # 2 to Hillary in the primaries and caucuses if Obama doesn't run
-John Kerry (D-MA) = shot himself in the foot with his comments before the recent election, his candidacy is over before it started...again
-Joe Biden (D-DE) = Senator from Delaware, has repeatedly said he's thinking about running
-Bill Richardson (D-NM) = Governor of New Mexico, also thinking of running
-Al Gore (D-TN) = Despite the fact that he's said over and over again a firm "NO!" to running again, polls have him as a strong candidate
---------------------------------------------------------------
Of all of the above, who will the nominees likely be? For the Republicans, John McCain. Giuliani is popular, and would make a great vice president, but conservatives (who make up the biggest voting bloc of Republicans on primary days) don't like his pro-choice pro-gay anti-gun stances. Not that they like McCain either, but i think they're more ready to vote for him than his New York counterpart.
My ultimate ticket prediction for the Republicans are McCain for president and Romney for VP (Romney's still a New Englander, but less controversial for conservatives than Giuliani, though I'd like to see Giuliani become president some day) Definitely look for Rudy Giuliani in any McCain cabinet (unless he runs a particularly anti-McCain campaign)
Possible Dark Horses include Romney and Rice, should they both decide to run.
The Democratic side is more difficult to predict. I firmly believe that should he run, Barack Obama will win the Democratic nomination for president. If he doesn't, Hillary most likely will pull it off.
Possible Dark Horses: Gore and Edwards
Ultimate ticket(s): Obama/Richardson or Clinton/Obama; you could substitute Kathleen Sebelius or Blanche Lincoln for Richardson in the Obama ticket, and Edwards for Obama in the Clinton ticket.
Who's ultimately win?: that depends on a lot; the economy, how the Democratic congress and Bush administration do, whether voters are Republican-fatigued or just Bush-fatigued. My prediction is McCain would prevail over Clinton and Obama both.

Mitt Romney will be my choice. Obama is too young and Clinton is a flip flopper. Giuliani has family problems. McCain scares everyone with how he supports the Iraq War, so not many people would support him. Gore is a hypocrite, as he says he is an environmentalist, but then he hops into a private jet, which lets out an unbelieveable amount of polution and his movie was just to make himself more popular.

Well, GOP might figure out that they alienated the center in 2006, so they will likely pick a "centrist" like McCain. Giuliani is just too liberal, I would be very surprised if he made it past the primaries as a pro-abortion, gun control and gay rights NYC Republican. Then there's Romney. Funny, but no.
Then it will be Hillary Vs. Obama for the Dem nomination, but I don't see how Obama can outdo Clinton's fund-raising skills, and quite frankly I think his fresh-faced popularity is trumped by her influence within the party. She's had about a decade to put this together, and she supported a lot of Democrats ($$$) who were elected this month.

Some people have already declared.
GOP
Congressman Duncan Hunter
Dems
Governor Tom Vilsack, IA
Likely:
GOP
McCain
Rudy Giuliani
Governor Mitt Romney, MA
Former TN Senator Bill Frist
Dems
Hillary Clinton
Barak Obama
John Kerry (tho this might be unlikely now)
John Edwards
My personal opinion is that Giuliani will win it. Even if he didn't get the GOP nomination, he could run as an independent and win. He's got public opinion behind him.

It most likely won't matter. The oligarchy of corrupt politicians, corporate conglomerates, greedy special interest groups, and wealthy elites that poses as a "democracy" here in America always makes sure that one of their own gets the job. They have the power, and we don't....and they'll do everything they can to keep it that way. And, of course, they have the money to make sure it always comes out just the way they want it to.
"Oh, but wait", you say, "we get to vote! This IS a democracy!" Are you sure? Who do you vote for? Are they people you really believe in? Do they want what's best for you? Do they want what's best for this country? Or do they want what's best for them, their bank accounts, and their corporate masters? Are you choosing the "lesser of 2 (they love to make us think there are ONLY 2 choices) evils"? Usually, it seems to be the latter two that are true. Hmmmm, let's see: Should I vote for the turd-burger? Or the $hit sandwich? Is there a difference? Not really.
But, you see, that's all we get as "choices". They make sure the person on the ballot is who benefits them, not necessarily someone who best represents me (or you). So, I guess in answer to your question: A greedy, corrupt, inept Republican will run and a greedy, corrupt, inept Democrat will run. Also, some wacko, fringe candidates and, just maybe, some honest, truly qualified candidates will run on third party tickets...all of which will be excluded from the debates, marginalized by the media, and pigeon-holed by those in control. And, lastly, most other people who might make great presidents won't ever be one because they aren't on the "inside" and don't have the millions of dollars it takes to win the office. Want to be president? Start selling your soul to lobbyists and building up your campaign fund! Hahaha... sad.
P.S. Now I get to sit back and wait for the moronic question of "If you don't like it, why don't you leave?" from the person who truly has no clue what's going on in our world and who has no idea what it means to be a patriot. Sigh...

I'm hoping Mitt Romney. He's got an amazing record in and out of politics. McCain is a jerk, but will probably get the nod from the Republicans. Guiliani will run as well. For the libs, it will be Hillary. Sign your paycheck over to Washington if she wins....

Hillary Clinton. After all we need at least one fellow lady as president of the United States. And I like the Clinton family as well. Bill Clinton was a good president.. what makes you think Hillary Clinton isn't the same? =)

I think the best race will be Obama and Giuliani and regardless of who wins, I think this country will win because of their leadership. Obama is a Conservative Democrat and Giuliani is a Liberal Republican. Great middle-of-the-road guys.
