I have thought about joining the military for a long time, and I like the Navy and Army but can't decide between them. I wouldn't mind riding on a ship or being on the front lines. I am a history major in college and am thinking about going in after graduation. Which branch would be better pay, enjoyment, satisfaction level.

My good friend is joining to the Navy, and will be going off to boot camp in a few days. Is there any gift I can get him that he'll actually be able to take and use in boot camp? Not a phone card. Also.. is a gift even appropriate ? Maybe I'll just give him some kind of card... obviously I'm clueless. Help!

I have heard many people criticize Obama for having no political experience. In my opinion that is a good thing cuz every single politician is corrupt and everyone knows that. They say what they need to say to get elected. Once they get elected they dont do the things that they promised that they would do. My point is that Obama hasnt been corrupted by politics yet and more of a guy for the "people". Anyone else agree with me?

With his ads on TV reminding people that Ronald ReaGUN actually coerced with the Iranian Muslim hostage holders to keep those poor American captives all that time just to enhance HIS INNOGURATION FESTIVITIES? IT WAS PROVEN OVER AND OVER AGAIN THAT HE WAS "IN BED" WITH THEM, BUT WHY REMIND THE VOTERS? DOES THIS SHOW THE ULTIMATE INEPTATUDE OF GUILLIAI OR WHAT? That movie American Beauty played on that. But is that really true? Why won't a major athlete come out the closet? Because most of the guys in the locker room are probably a little homophobic. Are they all secretly gay? Or maybe, most homophobes AREN'T gay, just repulsed by unnatural behavior. The Marxist and Communist in the media are doing their best to convince the public that homosexualality should be main stream. Knowing we won't accept it willing, they have to create ways to trap us into accepting it. Don't mistreat homosexuals, but at the same time elevating homosexuals to equavelence with heterosexuality in issues of marriage and adoption is ridiculus.

We are all putting into a system that we will ultimately get nothing out of in return. We are paying for the elderly now but no one will be paying for us. We will be on our own. I know most ideas all have their pros and cons... but does anyone have a legitimate idea that could work to the benefit of my generation?


(As for me, I am already going to start my 401K early and not worry about depending on the government but I wanted to see what other ideas people have).

My parents live in New Mexico and recentely got a quote for new carpet, they compaired and went with the most reasonable company. Half way through the job the guy told my dad they measured wrong and have to pay an extra $400+ for the carpet. Is there a law that protects them in the state of New Mexico against this sort of stuff? My mom sais just pay it but my dad said that they went with this company cause it was the lowest of the quotes and most reasonable and if they measured wrong its there mistake and also feels like that did that on purpose to get the job. I seem to agree with my dad cause the company did the measurements and quoted off of there own measurements but legally I am wondering if there is a law that stands behind my dad.

i was talking with someone and we where discusing why communism is wrong and i said that its bad partialy because they have kill so many people in their contrys and they said capitolist people have been just as bad. is that true? ive heard of alot of people being killed in communist contries in massecure or as a side effect but ive never heard of the capitolest nations doing that stuff to their people. whats your thoughs?

The county has been sending threatening letters that they will come pick me up and tow me away to the jailhouse if I don't go pay my library fine of $18.57. They don't seem to understand, I don't have that kind of money. *sigh*

The BBC go all the way to america just to report that it's cold and there is a lot of snow and it's knocking down trees, ITV go to antarctica look at a piece of ice falling off an iceberg and declare that it's, 'because of global warming' and not because it's melting as its summer down there, and that it will just freeze over when it's winter again. Then donating 10 minutes to reporting that princess anne's dog has bitten someone, or horizon asking, 'are chimps human?' channel 5 asking who will play for england at the 2018 world cup? why is the news so dumbed down? it's like watching, 'brass eye.'
