My dad is a Republican and he doesn't like Rudy. The only candidate my dad likes is Ron Paul. But he may actually support Dennis Kucinich because he knows that Dennis is a brilliant guy who is for protecting regular people. (not that we need protecting, really I mean preserving our interests, not selling us out to corporate interests, etc.)

He owes his entire career and image to/for the Reagan Years. He's not the Mayor of NYC, if he can't project an anti-crime image in the early 90's (he won, on the 2nd try).. He's running for a GOP PRIMARY vote.. remember and not a general election... He knows that Reagan is renowned in GOP and conservative circles -- and it's a benefit to attach himself to a winner in the GOP, for any chance of getting the GOP nod.
