Should they be put on the sex offenders list?

Not if they're in an area designated for nudism or clothing optional. If they are following the laws of the area and they contain themselves to the resort or legally sanctioned nudism area, they are doing nothing wrong and are not breaking any laws.

There's a distinct difference between "nudists" and "sex offenders." You really should try to learn the difference. Unbeknown to you, there might very well be a completely clothed sex offender right next door to you, (and following your logic) you'd give him the "benefit of the doubt" of being a decent person because he's clothed when in public and therefore meets your "standards" -- and yet the nudist down the street might truly live a blameless life and yet you'd love to see him arrested simply because his lifestyle offends your senses and supposed morals.

If you are talking about a nudist resort, the reason they can't is because they are on private property and aren't doing anything wrong. No, people like that are pretty far from being sex offenders, they just have a different attitude about what is proper than you do. They do not abuse their children by choosing not to wear clothes around them all the time--the nudist thing really isn't a sexual perversion, the nudists are in a whole different frame of mind.

Now if you are talking about people nude in public places (not at private resorts), they could certainly be arrested. The cops in some areas may not be willing to waste time talking to people they think are hurting no one, but I doubt Michigan would be a place like that. If their indecent exposure were directed at engaging a person or done intentionally in front of kids (kids who aren't on vacation with their parents at a resort the parents choose), the cops would almost definitely show up and make arrests.

What's wrong with nudists?
It's the people who do not understand this lifestyle, that get nudism/naturism mixed up with sexual activity...
Fact is, ANY sexual behavior is NOT tollerated in any resort!
God created us to be naked. Humans however forgot this over time and developed shame and now-a-days relate it directly to sex...
So ask the question: Who is sick? The nudists or the one disapproving it?

Having said it's a lifestyle and no sexual behavior is involved, there's nothing wrong with walking nude around children and vice-verca. It helps develop a good self esteem for adults as well as children. Go ahead find some nudist sites and tell me if you see only skinny, heavy make-up blonds!

Instead of asking this question, read some more about this lifestyle and read some forums about nudism and naturism and read the LAWs about it.
Then you would understand that a nudist cannot be arrested for this.
Again: Nudism/naturism is NOT sexual and/or indecent behavior.....

Why should people be arrested for walking naked in front of children? Being naked does not inevitably lead to sexual acts. Do you engage in sexual acts whenever you get changed to go out? I wouldn't have thought so.

There is nothing "bad" about being naked. It's something which I don't think has any real relationship with sex offences. Bear in mind, of course, that it is very rare for a sex offender to actually be naked while he or she is committing the offence.

I think you are confusing issues. A nudist is someone who believes that they have a right to be naked. There is nothing that even remotely hints of a sex offence. It's an aspect of socio-political belief or opinion, and that is all.

I am a naked person, and the answer is you do not stop. If you do then they get the idea that there is something wrong with it, which there is not. All kids should be that way and I hope you take them to the nudist resorts if you visit them. I would let them be naked all they wanted to, in proper areas where it is allowed. I would like to add that you should never make them be naked if they don't want to be, it will come off more as punishment than anything..

Well, first you answered your own question. It is a "resort area" known for this type of behavior.

Second, Why would they need to be put on a sex offenders list. It is not a sexual thing.

Being a nudist is not a sexual thing, it is about freedom to be as we are.

Understand your body. Understand the beauty of your body. A child should also know their body. Being in front of other people is no mind to someone who is a Nudist.

Have you ever gone Skinny Dipping? I would say probably not.

When you are free, as you are skinny dipping, you feel free, one with the earth.

If you dont want your children seeing this behavior don't take them there.

Nudist Walking

Parent who bring kids to the resort know it's a nudist colony and that is a privately-owned business that has probably gotten permission by the county to run it. If they didn't have permission, sure they would be arrested. I don't think anything is wrong with nudity in front of children. It's more natural to be nude and nude in society. Humans have been nude long before they became "civilized," like for maybe 99.9% of the time after we evolved from animals.
