Democrats say government should stay out of your private business, yet they don't think you know how to spend your own money. They think the american people are serfs who are ripe for exploitation by the government.
Republicans beleive in freedom and fllowing the constitution, yet they think government can stick their nose in your private business either for "moral purposes" or national security. They rarely follow the constitution... especially concerning this terrible war in Iraq.
It seems like all of them ignore Benjamin Franklin.

"Those who give up Liberty for Security deserve Neither" (paraphrasing)

Exspecially for Reservists. I feel sorry for the young and clueless who sign up thinking that they are going to obtain a great education in a timely manner and not miss 2 more weeks in school. The commercial always make it seem like its a good idea to join to help pay for education. I seem so many young join for this reason and get upset when it comes time to miss school. Misleading advertising or bad decision making skills? what do you think?

Senate Bill 1959 to Criminalize Thoughts, Blogs, Books and Free Speech Across America

by Mike Adams

The end of Free Speech in America has arrived at our doorstep. It's a new law called the Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act, and it is worded in a clever way that could allow the U.S. government to arrest and incarcerate any individual who speaks out against the Bush Administration, the war on Iraq, the Department of Homeland Security or any government agency (including the FDA). The law has already passed the House on a traitorous vote of 405 to 6, and it is now being considered in the Senate where a vote is imminent.

All over the internet, intelligent people who care about freedom are speaking out against this extremely dangerous law: Philip Giraldi at the Huffington Post, Declan McCullagh at CNET's News.com, Kathryn Smith at OpEdNews.com, and of course Alex Jones at PrisonPlanet.com

This bill is the beginning of the end of Free Speech in Ame

And why do people who live in a town where they've never met a gay guy really care whether gay folks get married?

Some engineering and science companies include white women in affirmative action yet there are more white females than white males in college. Also as an engineering undergrad there are 5 white women for 1 black man in most of my classes. So why is it that as a black man I would get equal special treatment to a white woman. I think the first preference should be black and hispanic woman, then black and hispanic males, then white women, then poor whites who are males and females.

I'm not an American so I dunno about this, afaik, right-wing is Democracy and left-wing is Extremism. It doesn't make sense, you can have a democratic-extremist type (who believes in too much freedom).

Thanks in advance.

Everyone is taking Hedge Fund (super investment machines) donations but Ron Paul. He is the only one. Hedge Fund Managers are courting the candidates to get them to do what they wish and to not tax them! Ironically the most funded are the Dems, but both parties are taking huge donations and are entertaining them. When in office they will have to repay these exuberant donations one way or another! I guess John McCain sees this as being "outside" lobby restrictions! Hypocrites!

It's these things that go under our noses during the debates!

Happy Holidays!

It's the political equivalent of playing "I know you are but what am I?" with a 3 year-old.

Here are just a few examples:

D - Bush did not take necessary action to prevent 9/11
R - Well, Clinton didn't either.

D - Bush is a totalitarian nationalist whose favorite word is Veto.
R - Hitlery Klinton is a socialist, but I don't know why, just wait and see... she'll destroy the world!

D - The Patriot Act is unconstitutional.
R - Well.... democrats are terrorists and don't care about "liberty".
