Once again I am that same african american high school student and i highly believ it is not because it at times over rides our vote and our choice for such an important position. I would very much appreciate it if you would share you opinion on this subject and your reasoning as to why you believe that.

Which methods (i.e., who do they speak to) to find out how many skeletons you have in your closet--or "walk-in" closet, as the case may be. = )

If they interviewed current or former friends, wouldn't this blow their cover? After all, what kind of friend would give out potentially-damaging information about another friend? Or, even if they did (such as if they felt under duress by the detective's questioning), wouldn't they tell the friend about what had happened?

What if someone is a loner who has new current (or former) friends? Wouldn't that make the PI's job difficult?

What if your credit is squeaky-clean? ...or if your prior employers don't remember you?

Further, how do you substantiate rumor/hearsay?

*** BTW, did you know??? In 1999, Texas Governor George W. Bush hired a private detective to investigate himself, because he was so worried about what kinds of things from his past his opponents would be able to use against him in the upcoming presidential election.

Here are the results of the pulmonary function test
Findings:
Spirometry: Forced vital capacity 4.52 L or 91%. FEV1 5.06 L or 102%. FEV1:FVC 93%. FEF25/75 6.14 L/s or 121% of predicted

Lung volumes: Total lung capacity 6.99 L or 91% of predicted.

DLCO: Diffusion capacity 47.55 mL/min/mmHg or 126% of predicted. Airway resistance Raw 1.06 cm of water/L/s or 73% of predicted. This does decrease by 55% post bronchodilator. Flow volume loop is normal.

Impression: Normal pulmonary function test with the exception of decreases airway resistance with the application of bronchodilator suggests mild reactive airway disease, although doubt the patient has significant asthma.

So I was in a parking lot of a Grocery Store at 2 am the other night just in my car listening to my music quietly and doing some school work because I have a hard time sleeping at night and this cop pulls up and parks behind me. He comes up and starts asking me dumb random questions.
I told him that I have nothing and I'm doing nothing illegal. Just here listening to my music reading a book, cause I usually can't sleep until late and I dont want to go home. He kept asking me why I was sitting here. So I asked him what the big deal is? He says, this is private property and the grocery store is closed, you cant be here. There was no sign saying private property and everyone has to leave when the store closes. He then told me to leave, so I took off. I don't want trouble. Is the cop right? Where can I go in my car and sit if I don't want to go home? If I go for example to a 24 Mcdonalds parking, then its ok? Anyone know the "law" regarding this matter? Gee, I can't just park?

The media has been sure to play up the left's opposition to the Iraqi war. General Petrais has said that it is working and we need to finish what we started.

Compare that to these excerpt from a well know General in the North Vietnames Army Memories

How many of you remember the name General Giap from the North Vietnamese army? General Giap, G-i-a-p is how you spell it, but pronounce it General Giap. He was a very famous, knowledgeable general in the North Vietnamese army. He's published his memoirs and here's a pull quote: "What we still don't understand is why you Americans stopped the bombing of Hanoi. You had us on the ropes. If you had pressed us a little harder, just for another day or two, we were ready to surrender. It was the same at the battle of Tet. You defeated us. We knew it. We thought you knew it. But we were elated to notice that your media was definitely helping us. They were causing more disruption in America than we could in the battlefield.

This is more for those who know a bit about Navy Regulations. I have a friend who has been charged with article 134, if you don't know what that is right off the bat it's Adultry. We just found out that he's on the long road to mast, and he's on legal hold, and he was supposed to transfer this month off the boat he's on.
Now he's an EM2 in the Navy (Electrician's Mate 2nd Class Petty Officer) and he's been in the Navy almost 10 years and he's never had an offense on his record during his time in the military or before his time in the Navy. He's pleaded guilty to this, come clean and admitted it truthfully.
What is the worst that can come of this? I mean what kind of consequences is he looking at? How bad? Will it be pretty much a slap on the wrist since he's not done anything EVER in the past??? Will he be able to transfer soon? If anyone has ANY knowledge on something like this I would totally appreciate whatever light you can shed. What are we looking at? Thank you so much
