QBeing (below) I have a 2005 video clip of Romney supporting abortion. Your thoughts on this please.

Romney has flip flopped on almost every position he used to get elected as governor of Mass.

He is so damned liberal, that if I didn't know any better, I would think he was a Howard Dean/DNC plant.

Is it really fair to call it a flip flop if he only changed his mind once.

At least that is what I got out of the article, He was pro choice until 2004. Nothing in the article says he went back after 2004 to support abortion again, did it?

I used to be anti abortion, now I am not. does that make me a flip flopper?

I used to believe a lot of things when I was younger, now I have changed views, does that count?

I could see Kerry being called one, when one day proclaims he doesn't own an American car and the next day he does. or he voted for before he voted against.

So what really makes a flip flopper?

And to those who don't think the president has a say in abortion laws, let me point out that the Supreme Court does have a say, and whoever is president choses who will be nominated to the court when a justice retires.

It very likely that in the next eight years 1,2 or even more justices could retire. Whoever is president will nominate the replacements, Roe V Wade could conceivably be overturned if just one justice who retires is against and is replaced by one who is for.

This however would not make abortion illegal. it would just take the decision out of the federal government jurisdiction and put it into the states hands.

States would then decide if they wanted it to be legal in their state.

edit... I concede your point sir, this would qualify to me as a flip flop. I am not a Romney supporter, I just want to be clear an the points. I did not see a basis in the article for his flip flops, but you have proven that he has.

Well met sir.

what is funny is tards like you think it matters. THIS issue is closed abortion is legal and thats that. Now if you want to say this president supports some minor changes to the current abortion rules then there ya go, but gosh darn it what a waste the president doesnt even have a say in this stuff. Let me guess your campaining for someone

Which is worse, the Romney flip flop on many things, or the Huckabee flip flop on illegals and taxes. I think they're equal. The Republicans have a really weak field of candidates.

None of the Republican candidates, except maybe Ron Paul, are worth considering. I only wish the Democrats would chose some one other than Hillary. Nice to get away from the Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton paradigm.

Poor Romney. He may soon have one tenth the flip flops Hillary has had

What a waste. The President doesn't even have a say on abortion.

"Let me make one thing perfectly clear: I am not thinking clearly these days." lol. Yes, a real leader needs to be decisive. Neither Clinton nor Romney make the grade.
