It depends on the chick in charge -- Elizabeth I and Catherine the Great weren't exactly wimps. And I would hardly call Clinton a wimp.

There are countries in this world who believe that women do not have the same worth as a man. Many of these countries are in the part of the world where we are currently having problems. If our president is not able to demand respect from all the people they have to govern the world with how can our president claim a position of power?

Unless we have a woman warrior our position in the world will be weakened with a female commander in chief.

Why ask a question like that? The US is supposed to be a constitutional democracy run by 3 branches of government (4 if you count the supreme court). It has only been recently under lord Cheney and lil W, that we think we should be ruled by a dictator.

Other than maybe the middle east, I do not beleive anyone saw Israel as weaker when Golda Maier was president.

Nor was England considered weaker when Margarette Thatcher was prime Minister.

Maybe, but that's beside the point. The question is whether we're ready to bring true equality to the position. The other countries will just have to get used to it, as they've done with leaders such as Margaret Thatcher and Angela Merkel.

What a load. Germany's Angela Merkel is phenomenal & we've our first female deputy best minister ever in Australia. someone's brains, not their intercourse determines the respect due them. George Bush is a guy yet is an entire fool. Nuff pronounced?

Women are leaders of many countries. We are one of the few who have never had a woman leader -- other than the Islamic states of course.
