Should affirmative action be applied for those who need the most help?

Some engineering and science companies include white women in affirmative action yet there are more white females than white males in college. Also as an engineering undergrad there are 5 white women for 1 black man in most of my classes. So why is it that as a black man I would get equal special treatment to a white woman. I think the first preference should be black and hispanic woman, then black and hispanic males, then white women, then poor whites who are males and females.

You cannot cure bigotry by having the government enforce bigotry.

No ! why should any one person get prefurencial treatment over any other for any reason besides merit and performance. These kind of things like afirmative action help maintain a "victim-hood culture" there by assuming that certain minorities are incapable of being compeditive with others. It is a racist institution masacraded as a savior for "underprivaliged" minorities.
