Congressional Democrats have proposed an additional income tax to pay for the Iraq war they said they would end. Another money grab by liberals who use any excuse to take money from people who have the audacity to actually work for a living ?

I have seen this in several answers and it is not true. I believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion but not their own facts. Is there any way to put a stop to the spread of this sort of mis-information in Yahoo answers?

Would it work? If not, why so?

genesis12:1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will show thee:

12:2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

12:4 So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

12:5 And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came.

Did Petraeus really betray us (betray: to lead astray per Merriam-Webster dictionary) if he stamped his name on a White House report and called it his own?

[ Despite Bush's repeated statements that the report will reflect evaluations by Petraeus and Ryan Crocker, the U.S. ambassador to Iraq, administration officials said it would actually be written by the White House, with inputs from officials throughout the government. ]

CALLER 2: What's really funny is, they never talk to real soldiers. They like to pull these soldiers that come up out of the blue and talk to the media.

LIMBAUGH: The phony soldiers?
KELLY: All right, so that was a caller, obviously, calling in. And now Democrats, including Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid [D-NV], are demanding an apology from Limbaugh. Rush says if anyone needs to apologize to our military, it is Harry Reid. Now, let me just give you some background on this quickly. Rush originally used this term, "phony soldiers," when he was talking about a guy named Jesse MacBeth. Jesse MacBeth never served in Iraq, says Rush. He claimed to have a Purple Heart; he didn't. This guy was propped up by the left, because he opposes the Iraq war, as some sort of hero, as a talking-points guy, this Jesse MacBeth was, and Rush Limbaugh was making the point that this guy was basically a "phony soldier," and he was trying to say that sometimes people on the left use "phony soldiers"....

So the good people of New York State who trusted her back when and she is running for President despite re-election claims?? So they have paid now for her run that keeps her from her day job as Senator. That includes conflict of interest. That does not represent the good State of New York constituents. This seems very wrong to me. Also note. Obama out raise Primary dollars to Clinton's by about 7 mil. Who is in charge of returning these funds anyway? and Why? Do they need so much money? What do you think? Is this money coming from the average hard working American or a debt to be paid back as they all political wrangle? Thank you.

Rush didn't say what Reid accused him of saying and Reid knows he is lying. Senator Reid should be ashamed of himself, but it appears that among liberals telling lies is a badge of honor. It reminds me of Clinton saying he didn't inhale or have sex with Monica. If honesty matters to any liberal please use this as a chance to chastise your Senate leader.

And if there was a project from the government that took these people and presented them with a training scheme in the arts and media, with an oppotunity to support themselves, would you give the thumbs up to this??

Is this not yet another attempt from the radical left to eradicate free speech?

Remember they tried to take down Michael Savage a few months ago, now they're out to crucify Rush Limbaugh for simply calling out someone who lies about their service. Did the main stream media not condemn a young woman for lying about her fiance dying in the WTC? Why's it OK for THEM and not Limbaugh?

It's only "hate speech" when you don't agree with it, isn't it libs? Or is it that you just need someone to crucify for your own backfired "ad?" Who are you going to try to shut down next?

Seriously, we ALL know people from this VERY SITE that pretend to have been in combat, won military honor awards, or served several enlistments in lands far far away. Even I've received emails from some lunatic that claimed to be an FBI agent, prior service, war veteran with a "DD213" (ROFL) calling me a "chickenhawk."

What's so bad about calling these people out for the fakes that they are?

Ok heres my question.

There has been an abandoned tractor trailer sitting in a street that I work for. It has been abandoned since July. The company that owns it, is in South Carolina. Obviously, the company lost it or totally forgot about it. I was thinking.... "If I call up the company and let them know about the trailer being there for that long, and attach pictures of the trailer (without the number or license plate) and ask them for a reward, is that legal?

In Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, longtime Sheriff Harry Lee died yesterday. He was running for re-election, with the election to be held this month. Since his death on Oct. 1, the powers that be have decided to postpone the election to November. Also, qualifying has been re-opened for the election, and any candidate who has already qualified (only 2 others besides Lee) must re-qualify. One candidate has filed suit to attempt to carry on the election as planned.

Of course, with Lee dead, many more candidates will enter the race, making it a wide open field. Lee was a guaranteed winner everytime he ran. Now there will most likely be at least a dozen candidates that throw their hat in the ring now that Lee has passed away, and qualifying has been re-opened.

Do you think this is fair to the other 2 candidates? Is it legal? What normally would happen if a candidate died before an election? Would/should the election be postponed?

Since these churches are mostly Christian, what do you think Jesus would do? I am not taking a stand, so please try not to rant. I am just asking a question.
