and protection in US churches? I am referring to the Sanctuary Movement. These are Hispanic people with clean records and job histories. Do you see this as a moral issue, or as a legal issue? Since these churches are mostly Christian, what do you think Jesus would do? I am not taking a stand, so please try not to rant. I am just asking a question.

Moral issue, let the good people in.
BTW, you think you have a problem with immigration, you should live over here.

It is a legal issue when one of our laws is ignored and cities are set up as "sanctuary" cities. I was shocked to hear that Chicago is a sanctuary city.

So if people can avoid the law about immigration in Chicago, in what city can I remove money from a bank. I have good reasons for that money -- family needs it, have medical bills, hungry kids, need shelter AND didn't Jesus say to take care of the poor.

See, if a city or country ignores one law, even if that law is controversial, why not ignore others. This country has legal procedures to change laws, if those in the government will not follow their own procedures, why should the people follow what the government says.

Morally, illegal immigrants are breaking the law...morally, they ought to be deported. Whether they take their children with them is up to them, we are not telling them to separate from their children. Jesus was a law-abiding citizen and would likely say the same thing.

Born atheist. On one level, it is a literal statement. Atheism means a lack of belief in deities. All children are born without a belief in deities, therefore they are born atheist. But religionists can point to alternative dictionary definitions that say atheism means a belief there are no gods. That definition requires cognition, beyond the scope of most newborns. But back and forth arguments about the definition of "atheist" ignore the broader implications of the term "born atheist." Just as Nietzsche did not mean "god is dead," to be taken literally–that a deity existed, he was mortal and he died; so too, the term "born atheist" has meaning beyond its literal definition. First, "born atheist" is a statement of atheist pride. People who use it are out, loud and proud atheists. Further, "born atheist" implies that atheism is a natural state. If everyone is born atheist, then religion is learned and can be unlearned. People who use the term "born atheist" will likely be amused to hear religion described as a social virus. Additionally, the phrase "born atheist" tends to be used by people who have never adopted a religion. They were born atheist and never changed. Finally, people who use the term "born atheist" are willing to stand up to the religious majority. Believing that atheism is a natural state and religion is a social virus, born atheists actively challenge the assumptions of the religious majority.

The parents of these CHILDREN came here ILLEGALLY---the parents of these children should be DEPORTED.... they should be given the choice of either leaving their AMERICAN BORN CHILDREN here with LEGAL relatives or taking them back to Mexico when THEY are deported. Coming to this country Illegally is against the law---therefore it is a CRIME---and people who commit crimes are supposed to be PUNISHED... the children did NOTHING and those who are BORN ON USA SOIL are considered US CITIZENS, however their parents ARE NOT and SHOULD NOT be allowed to stay.....sorry but a crime is a crime is a crime.

I don't think that they ought to let pregnant illegals in this country. stay in their country and give birth to the child to be the citizen in their native country. Then enter this country LEGALLY.

I doubt Jesus would agree with me, but I am a human and this is what I think (me a sinner)

No, they should find shelter back in their own country. They can take the child with them, or let it be raised here by strangers in the foster home system.
