Do US voters actually care about the issues?

..or are they all in lock-step with their party?
I have found this great website which outlines the voting records and political stands on any imaginable issue by politicians form every party and every state with tools to make side by side comparisons of the candidates on these issues. This could be the single most important candidate research tool available to voters who actually care about the candidates and the issues.
Every voter should use this tool before picking whom they will give their votes.

Seperation of Church and State...SOOO not happening. Looky here.?

So I'm in 8th grade. My friend Jamie was in history class today and her book was in her way or something like that so she said, "Jesus Christ! Get out of my way!" or something like that. The teacher gave her an after school detention for it! I mean, seriously, the teacher said it "offended" her. She can't do that, can she?! It's UNCONSTITUTIONAL! Isn't it...?

My gf got arrested by met police out of nowhere is it legal?

My gf got arrested by met police while she was shopping, then black guys approached her to ask for lighter then bunch of them trying to touch her bag if she has lighter suddenly police came and arrested my gf and those bunch of guys, they gave my gf a figerprint test and even took her picture, dna and drug test! is this legal? my gf is in shock, she's so afraid to go out already is there anything i could as her bf to protect her? is it legal in the UK system to gather her information without any proof? they just said she was in the drug scene while those guys eventually are drug dealers, police didnt treated her badly but she was in a shock, she couldnt even make a phone call?! what kind of system is this? and is it even legal? please advise thank you

how cruel and unfair?!?

how cruel and sad it is to see this :( !!!! 3 police cars just took the kids of our neighbour, she has 3 kids, 2 of them were fighting outside and i think someone called and told the cops that they are always outside and fighting, one of them is 6 and one of them is 8 and the cops took the 2 fighting and took they're elder brother that is 11, the mom was crying and yelling, she was begging them to keep them but they just ignored her, they ignored a mom caring for her children, a mom who had raised these children, sent them to schools, and live with them for 6 years and more, they ignored her as if she was some crazy person and took the kids away... And you're telling me that here in the united states and canada we have child care, the poor children were crying for help and the mom fainted in the middle of the streat and they didnt even care!! :(:( How sad, im happy we do not have such cruel people (cops, government) like this back in my country :'( Im not being offensive....

how do employers know they're hiring undocumented immigrants?

Is there a website one can go to and see if a certain social security number is valid?

What branch of the military is going to cut me the best deal?

most money, least time, job placement, college payment. What I really want is a big chart of what all the branches can do for you and what they cant. But I cant seem to find one anywhere.

I am having Neighbor issues.?

I have some neighbors well I am assuming they are my neigbors I am not exactly sure who it is but they keep making false claims about me. First they called animal control and said I was mistreating my dogs well animal control came out when I was not home and my roomate showed them they dogs which they said were fine. So then a few months went by and they called the county and told them there was a bad smell coming from the house so I called the county and told them it was a false report they came out and not only did they check the yard but every room in the house! So I asked her while she was there what I can do to prevent this and she said well there is really nothing you can do if there is a report filed they have to come and check it out. But I feel like my privacy and everything else has been so violated...please help!

I'd like to know, from those of you who have legally immigrated and naturalized, how you feel about the immigration problems in the U.S.? Do you have empathy for illegal aliens, or does it upset you?

Ahmadinejad questions 9/11, why not?

millions of Americans do not believe the official story, it just doesnt add up.

- why did the towers collapse? (the two towers let alone building 7 which wasnt hit by a plane). how could they fall on their own footprints and turn to dust like that in freefall speed?

- why invade iraq which had NOTHING to do with 9-11?

- how could a caveman launch 4 planes with long time intervals between them and the US could do aboslutely nothing to stop them?

- how could bin laden land by the pentagon - the most secured building in the world - practically unchallenged?

- how could they know bin laden did it just in few hours on sept 11, 2001? they couldnt know that 10 years before?

- why did Bush keep reading a goat story while the country burns in flame?

- why does the media not tell alternative explanations? why do they try to shut up anyone with alternative explanations as conspiracy theorist?

I was clocked by radar at 71 mph and I had my cruise set to 58 in a 55. Should I contest?

After I was clocked at the top of the hill, he wasn't visible until 1/4 of a mile up the next hill coming toward me. Before the top of the 2nd hill where he eventually pulled over, there is a large curve and trees but he still said he clocked me at 71 a 1/4 mile around the curve and trees, down the hill and at the top of the next one. I KNEW I had my cruise set at 58, so there is NO WAY he could have clocked me at 71...especially from where he was coming. After explaining this, he offered me to see the radar but I believed him, just not that it was me b/c like I said...my cruise wasn't even set close to that. I want to fight this cecause of the distance factor and the fact I know I wasn't going 71 because of my cruise setting. Should I fight this and what is the best way to do so? Please help and I look forward to your opinions.

Ahmadinejad torn apart by Columbia University's president and boos from crowd?

Apparently it looks as though Ahamadinejad was not so welcomed as others thought. He was surrounded by protesters, booed and given a very unkind welcome by the University president. What do people who did not want Ahmadinejad to speak think of this?
