Gays are everywhere. They have and always will exist. People are born gay so whether or not they are born in an accepting country or Iran doesn't matter. Although, there probably isn't any Boom Boom Rooms or gay pride festivals in Iran.

The president of Iran sounds like an idiot. I've heard other people from strict and very Muslim countries say the same thing, and it sounds just as silly.
Perhaps you won't walk down the streets of Iran and see two men kissing. There's no gay pride parade in Saudi Arabia. But gay people are all over the world and from within every religion. They're just forced to live in the closet or die.

Actually societies that are as sexually represive as Iran's have a higher percentage of homosexuals. But you'll never get anyone to admit it.

I'm sure there are homosexuals, but what he's probably talking about is that they are all in the closet for fear of punishment or embarrassment--just like most of the gay Republican people in the U.S.
