millions of Americans do not believe the official story, it just doesnt add up.

- why did the towers collapse? (the two towers let alone building 7 which wasnt hit by a plane). how could they fall on their own footprints and turn to dust like that in freefall speed?

- why invade iraq which had NOTHING to do with 9-11?

- how could a caveman launch 4 planes with long time intervals between them and the US could do aboslutely nothing to stop them?

- how could bin laden land by the pentagon - the most secured building in the world - practically unchallenged?

- how could they know bin laden did it just in few hours on sept 11, 2001? they couldnt know that 10 years before?

- why did Bush keep reading a goat story while the country burns in flame?

- why does the media not tell alternative explanations? why do they try to shut up anyone with alternative explanations as conspiracy theorist?

first, it is far far more easier to strike an embassy than do what happened on 9-11. no comparison.

second, that he did the emabssy bombing is no evidence. they just said he did it. even if he did, it doesnt follow he did 9-11. if i robbed my neighbor does it mean i robbed the bank as well?

the rest of what you said is recycled explanations from popularmechanics and things that do not hold up to scruitiny. the towers couldnt fall like that even if 10 planes hit them, they would have fallen other ways and not in free fall speed. and bd 7 never hit by plane and only had little fire and it went down clearly like controlled demolition and silverestein said JUST THAT

There sure is a lot of division here in the responses. I would venture to say that this is a good snapshot of the country on this issue. I've answered on this topic a few times and I'll say basically the same thing here.

It doesn't matter what you believe about the perpetrators--who they are, why they did it, how they did it, etc, etc... The fact is that it wasn't investigated properly. Here is a little summary that I hope will clear your head about what needs to be done.

Whatever your position on 9/11, the fact remains that within 2 weeks of other major disasters, there was a formal investigation announced. Pearl Harbor, JFK, the space shuttles, hurricane Katrina--all within 2 weeks, most within a week. It took 411 days for there to be an "official investigation" into 9/11....an event that killed over 3000 innocent people, in broad daylight, on American soil, with all the cameras rolling. 411 days...

Forget about that though, take a look at what was spent on the effort once it finally got rolling vs. something like, say, the Clinton Administration's screw ups.

Cost of investigating the Clintons for Whitewater and semen on the dress of Monica?......about $65 million

Cost of the 500+ page 9/11 Commission's report?.....about $15 million

Comparatively speaking, something is wrong here folks. It's kind of tough to believe that the facts have been completely fettered out for $15M. In fact, it's REALLY tough.

And so, we're left to the confusion and fear of not knowing the truth--exactly the state that governments and terrorists want us to be in. Propaganda is a powerful thing in the hands of people that know how to use it--that's been proven over and over. Next to organized religion, propaganda has killed more people than anything man has ever invented.

There are a LOT of unanswered questions about 9/11 and anyone that thinks otherwise has their head buried in the sand. Americans have the freedom to ask questions and every American should until the truth is revealed. We're sworn to defend our country and its constitution, not any political party or politician. Taken in that vein, the 'official story' needs to be looked at much closer.

I'm curious about people that accept things so blindly. Are they saying that they have NO questions about what happened that day? About what happened before that day? About what has happened since?

I don't believe there are many people out there that don't question the official story, whether publicly or privately. I'll never be convinced that we know the entire story, but I want an independent investigation of it. It's certainly worth our time and money---much more so than the proclivities of Bill Clinton and the shady dealings he and his wife had in Arkansas.

Congress just ear-marked $1B to repair bridges around the country a month or so after the collapse in Minnesota. But we spent $15 million 411 days after 9/11??? Sorry folks, but that's a red flag, a big one, waving over you, begging for you to wake up.

- The Twin Towers collapsed because the interior structure, which was what bore the weight if the buildings, was heavily damaged by the impact, explosions and fire. Virtually all of the fire-proofing was destroyed. Thus weakened, it was unable to support the floors on top, which then basically fell down on the floors below, collapsing the buildings pretty much straight down. 7 WTC was heavily damaged by falling debris (Much of which did not land in the footprints) and fires caused by the debris.

- I have no idea on this one

- The terrorists did not launch the planes, they simply took control and piloted them. Take-off and landings are the hardest part of flying commercial jets. The terrorists made sure they didn't have to know how to do either.

- What defenses did the Pentagon have to stop a jet plane from flying into it? That's right. None.

During the course of these silly, and tediously long, rants they list several people who don't actually exist (Yep folks its true several of these "experts" are nothing more figments of these brain damaged toddlers overactive imaginations) and others like Doctor Keller who says that his comments have been taken out of context by these 9/11 conspiracy freaks and that he wishes that they would stop claiming him as one of their experts because he doesn't agree with them at all. How could anyone not question the official story of 9-11 considering no planes ever brought down an entire building before yet that day three buildings went down like a professional demolition and one wasn't even hit by a plane and the fact that many professionals (such as many CIA agents) state that the official story is not logical. They are all calling for the 9-11 report to be reinvestigated.

Because there is nothing to question about 9/11. We know it's fact that terrorists destroyed the buildings. The government was never trying to convince America that invading Iraq was because of 9/11. But some people, like you, always have to argue with facts. It all adds up, if you actually look at the facts, and not anti-america/bush material that people try and pass off as fact...
