Where are all the so-called high-paying jobs that have been created that Bush claims. We have had job growth, yes, but the quality of jobs created is debateable.

Has there been an increase in manufacturing jobs to replace the 3 million lost? I don't know, I don't even hear it mentioned anymore.

This is a huge problem. We keep making laws that dictate policy to the masses because of the personal beliefes of the politicians. Personal choice is removed from the equation because someone in government "knows" better about something.

Example...

Seat Belts/Air Bags. You have cops giving tickets for not wearing seat belts for no other reason than generating revenue. Im an educated and responsible person and understand what may happen in the event of an accident if not wearing a seat belt. I DO NOT believe that anyone should be telling me what I have to do because THEY know better about somethig than me. We had politicans in CHicago that got busted on TV for not wearing seat belts!! So, at the end of the day, I have to spend more on my vehicles with air bags because they save lives. It should be personal choice as to wheather or not I want that protection and it shold not be dictated.

as an Englishman who is flying to the USA on business later this week i feel i must ask the above.
About 3 weeks ago on a business trip to London i was amazed when i came across a new brand of resturants called simply McDonalds. they serve beefburgers and potato sticks in small boxes at a very reasonable price. If you have the time you can make use of their excellent dining facilities plastic tables and chairs, straws etc.
Do they have these in the USA so i could use them on my business trip?

Especially after 9/11. After all we live in a dangerous world. Isn't the government there to take care of us, and to protect us from evil terrorists? Shouldn't we be willing to do whatever the government wants?

Listening to the Michael Savage radio program last night (that bastion of conservatism) and he's predicting that Hillary will win in 2008. But shortly after she takes office she will re-institute the draft. The reason being, politics aside, everybody in a leadership position in Washington, democrats and republicans, realize that we are in a war against Islamic facism and if we are going to survive as a nation we have to win. We can't come home from Iraq because the world wide war will continue wheather we are in Iraq or not. Anyway, the decision will be made that since we have to win this war, we have to make an all out effort.

What are your thought on Hillary (or anyone else who is elected) re-instituting the draft in order to win the war?

Considering our country is 200+ years old and needs to show some dynamicism, I think that children born here are granted automatic citizenship ONLY if both parents are US Citizens. I really think this makes a lot more sense than having illegal aliens come here, have a child, and claim its a US citizen.

What do you think??

I have never really identified with any party, Im more of an independant, but it seems that Democrats tax and give everything away to everyone who needs something.

What ever happened to personal responsibility??

Hi there, I am shortly off for RAF selection and have been told they always quiz you on your knowledge of N.I. and what is happening/ has happened there. I realise that it's a broad subject but could anyone give me the bare bones of the situation?

I understand (and I might be wrong) that it is mainly Catholics vs. Protestants, and the former want the British out of N.I. The catholics are IRA and the protestants are UVF (do these have the support of the British)?

What is happening there at the moment, and what is a 'provo'? Thanks for all serious answers!

I submitted an application under RTI Act to PIO of District Magistrates to seek information about the court of ADM. The ADM did not reply to questions asked and told that the application be moved to his court as the information sought relates to court.
Are the lower courts under District Magistrates and District Judges are covered under RTI - Right to Information Act.
If I move an application with court I am not sure if I will ever get a reply during my life time as nothing moves in lower courts unless bribed.

I took out a bank loan to cover and consolidate some old debts and also pay off an overdraft which they were demanding to be paid off in one go if i didnt take out the loan to pay it off, however due to a change in situation I was no longer able to make repayments as agreed in the terms. I have since found out that the loan was classed as a home improvement loan. now at the time I didnt own a home as I lived with my mum, it looks to me they did this to get the loan approved. I do not own a home currently as I rent. Can they get away with this and have they mis sold me the loan?
