I know someone who has been charged with a crime she has no idea about. Because of a propable cause from a warrant, The police found evidence and ended up arresting everyone who was in the home. I need answers. Please Help. Are they only suppose to arrest the person that they think was involved or do they arrest everybody including the innocent?

does it insult you that you really are not rich enough to reap the benifis of a TRUE republican?

yet run around acting all cool with a big "R" on your turtleneck sweater. Supporting the cause because it makes you "feel like you are in the club".

I'd be pissed if i considered myself a republican. Knowing how much money you really have to be part of the club.

it's o.k. if you feel used though. That's the way RIGHTY meant it to be.

If you think that passive smoking in public places will kill you then try living where I did. Let me start by saying that I am a 44 year old smoker who has smoked since the age of 10. I served on British diesel submarines between 1980 and 1989. There were no smoking bans in place apart from the control room at periscope depth and at least 80% of the crew were smokers. So for months on end not only would I be smoking my 40 smokes a day I would partake in passive smoking from 57 other people. Then from 1990 to 1994 I served on Australian submarines but they would not let you smoke in the messes. When you are locked in a 300 foot tube with smokers well you work it out. As for my health last year I had a full medical including lung capacity test well here is the surprise I have the lungs of a 30 year old. I have never had a day off work due to illness I play golf at least 3 times a week and never get short on breath. So according to most answers from none smokers why am I still alive?

Keeping people suffering and living a little longer makes the drug industry and others massive profits, as someone pointed out in a previous answer. Is that a good reason for depriving euthanasia to Americans, while some other countries show their compassion for those who are suffering?

I am writing this from Japan.
I know you Americans are all taught in schools that a-bombing had served as the means to end the war and saved the lives of the people who might have died if the war continued.
But there were other alternatives like dropping the atomic bombs on uninhabited islands instead of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

the people must be represented...but in the 1700's the fastest a message could travel was by horse. So back then it was only reasonable for the people of a district to elect 1 individual who could frequent washington and represent their concerns and values assuming that he/she shares them. But now days we have the internet and we have .gov's. it is assumed that almost everyone has access to computers and the internet in the United States. So then, why can't we the people represent ourselves??? here my plan: have some sort of website like "www.vote.gov" where each citizen has an account and can vote on issues that congress would otherwise be voting on...this way they could double check their account to make sure that what they voted for actually registered correctly...this would make electronic voting fraud-free. If there was an error in the vote, a citizen could simply make a claim and correct the problem. This system also ensures that measures are passed because they are truly popular

I do not understand how anyone could support Bush especially after his last 7 years of political failures. Under the Bush administration America has fallen to it's lowest depths and the constitution has been raped almost to it's death. The facts are so bluntly abundant I don't see how anyone could support this tyranny under this dictatorship.
On this continued path we will soon have no liberties and freedoms left, all gone in the name of terrorism. Whats so sad is that most Americans will proudly give up their Liberties and Freedoms for the deceiving promise of security. Now do you really think that our government can truely provide complete security? No way, No how. There will never be security as long as their is hate and no matter what we do their will always be some kind of hate that exists.
Bush has raped the constitution, spied on HIS citizens illegally, abused HIS powers of executive order and continually LIED to the American people.

It's time to IMPEACH BUSH!

No to the NWO

If America were really threatened, and really under attack we we would have no problem finding troops. There would be line-ups around the block at recruiting offices. The military would have to triple its recruiting staff to accomodate citizens wanting to join! Americans would be desparate to contribute to any effort to protect this country.

But Iraq never attacked America. They never had WMDs, nor did they pose any threat to us. This unjust and unnecessary war has turned people off the armed forces.

The threats against us now can be solved through political and diplomatic actions.

A draft would only anger Americans and cause more instability. And it would be stupid, because if we really needed more men in the Army we would have no problem getting them.

What do you think?

It seems strange that in a country where how you speak and what school you attended means a likelihood of financial success, can call itself a democracy! I mean even now 75% of the cabinet went to Oxford or Cambridge. So it seems that if your ancester got lucky or backstabbed or stole a millenium ago, your only chance is the lottery or become a crime boss!!!
Bugger me we're all getting shafted.
ppose they'll want my kids to fight to keep them in clover too!

For example, one con said giving gays the right to marry is not about equal rights but "special rights." He said gays never had that right to begin with since this nation was founded.

Well I can think of a few rights people did not have when this nation was founded too:
- the right not to be owned
- the right to marry of a different race
- the right for women to own property, vote, and hold office
- the same rights for minorities, etc,etc

You know who else are big "traditionalists"?

TERRORISTS! They're as backward as they come.

Now that Bush is succeeding in Iraq the UN comes back in to try and take partial credit.
Libs deny the surge is working, and it is working or the UN would not be coming back into the picture. Libs will give all the success to UN, and say Bush was not successful. To bad the Democrats will only be known as quitters. Dems did everything they could to prevent winning the war on terror.
