"...the men who rammed their flaming vehicle through the glass of the airport terminal, poured gasoline on themselves, and shouted "Allah Akbar" (God is Great) as they burned and resisted arrest, showed intense commitment." -taken from http://www.newsday.com/news/nationworld/world/ny-wbrit0702,0,1191369.story?coll=ny-top-headlines

But seriously, was it 'commitment' that drove them to resist arrest or the flailing that comes with being set alight?

"Allah Akbar, it burns!"

Can you keep it? Or would you want to keep it? Will it be something you have to give back or could you sell or otherwise be compensated?

Frankly depending on the options I would like to see someone either create confusion by switching balls or havng multiple balls so there is always doubt.

I know I am a jerk but so isn't Bonds...Henry Aaron is being robbed.

I am trying to find out which candidate I should do more research on. I was hoping if I shared my views if someone who is more politically aware could suggest my perfect president. I am looking for someone to provide Americans with better, more affordable healthcare, I am pro-choice, I am against the War, I feel the immigrants who are here should be allowed to stay, and I want someone who will work to prevent global warming.

Please don't tell me to change my views. Who do you think is best for me?

Thanks!

Ok a close friend of mine, (one who I grew up with) is and has been here illegaly. I've known him scence the 3rd grade and been friends ever scence, and I don't understand why he is still illegal!, He ranked 5th in our graduating class of over 400 students, going to college, and pretty much has the same life style as me, and now plans to join the Army; I guess What I'm asking is, Can the Army really help him with his legal status? or is there something he can do to become a legal citizen? is there a proces to do so??

Sen. Joe Lieberman (D-Conn.), the chairman of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, said Sunday he wants to “more widely” use surveillance cameras across the country.

“The Brits have got something smart going in England, and it was part of why I believe they were able to so quickly apprehend suspects in the terrorist acts over the weekend, and that is they have cameras all over London and other of their major cities,” Lieberman said.

In our local newpaper today, there was a classified ad looking for a babysitter. This is what is said:

Looking for babysitter in the Salina are immediately. Pays $700/week. 678-318-1498

Seemed like a huge amount of money and a huge opportunity for just watching some children, so I called. There is a voice message saying to go to wonderfulnanny.com. I went to the site and before you can even apply, you have to pay a $10 non-refundable fee for them to process your application. Seems like a small amount of money to pay to be considered for such a high paying job. Then it donned on me. It's a scam. $10 is not a sum of money that people would get worked up about it they were scammed, but yet it's just little enough that if it might be an actual job, that they would pay it. Website looked professinal enough. Can you imagine how much money these people are making? If you have 300 people in one city apply for this job, they make $3000!

Blocks Rocks!

HABANA, CUBA- Millions of Cubans led by President Fidel Castro marched along Habana's waterfront in a show of fervor against U.S. pressure for privitization of the well run island.
Similar anti-American marches were held in 800 towns and villages across Cuba in one of the largest mass demonstrations since Castro's 1959 revolution.
Officials said more than 2 million people, most of them wearing red T-shirts and waving Cuban flags, marched by the American mission shouting slogans against the United States and in defense of Cuba's socialist state.

on the other hand.. Gusanos anti-Castro, celebrate in USA.... what they don't even understand but were brainwashed to believe and behave..... to be against their master Fidel
( Cuba 's Banana Republic puppet ) :D

How can i find out details? I worked there in the early 1990's. I'm not sure of the date(s)/year(s) he was killed.

If we continue to use this much electricity, we need a source that does not emit the carbon.

In high school I didnt have very good grades and I ended up getting my GED after I failed senior year, but I have been attending a community college. My question is, if I maintain a 2.5-3.0 GPA while in community college will I be able to get a ROTC scholarship or will I automatically be passed over because of my lack of a high school diploma and lack of strong academic background? This is for you recruiters or ex-recruiters or just anybody else who has been or has known somebody with this problem. I know it says on the Army website a list of requirements but I would like to know some first hand information.
