It started when Hezbollah began launching more than the average amount of missles into Israeli towns. Israel invaded southern Lebanon to remove the terrorists. The war was not against Lebanon or its civilians, but againsts terrorists. So why do people call Israeli generals war criminals and Olmert an idiot? I just don't get it!

Of course I know the answer is no. A permit would never be given. There would be no police presence etc...They would declare the heteros pride parade as hate speech directed at the disenfranchisement of homosexuals and making them feeeeeeeel uncommmmmmmmmmmmmmfortable!!!

I wanted to see how both Dems and Repubs, as well as independents feel about him.

I find him amazingly refreshing. A politician that actually speaks in straight talk, no run-around when asked a question about his position on the issue, and has a strong backbone.

Search for him on youtube and listen to the short clips of him speaking on issues such as immigration, he makes the most sense.

When asked his thoughts on the Amnesty Bill in the senate, he replied “Well, no matter how much lipstick you put on this pig, it won’t be winning any beauty contests.”

I strongly believe that he is the best man to lead this country in the troubling times ahead

I tried to email Barak Obaba & Hillary Clinton, as presidential candidates, about my stance on the immigration issue.

Obama wouldn't even receive my email, as my address is not in his senate district.

I got a form email back from Clinton saying that due to the large volume of emails from her senate district constituents, she couldn't reply to mine (again, my address is not in her district).

I didn't really need a reply from either one. . . but to be told that my views don't matter because I don't live in Illinois or New York is irksome.

So, the question is, as a registered Democrat, what's a girl to do?

I just applied for a job in a regional steak house chain location in Dalton Ga. But the manager, told me that even though I was well qualified for the job, couldn't consider hiring me because his entire kitchen staff spoke Spanish only, and because I don't speak spanish, I couldn't work there. The manager admitted he didn't know but two words of Spanish himself. Now, I'm just a Caucasian American guy who was born near here. and I've never seen this before! He interviewed a Mexican guy before me, who couldn't speak English, ( I'm not making this up, I swear!) " I almost hired him.." the manager said, "but he didn't have a social security card". Is there something wrong with this picture? I don't think I'm being prejudiced, but I'm really upset. Can it be that they don't have to learn English to come to America to work, but I, an American citizen, has to learn their language to work with them?

WASHINGTON -- A judge who was seeking $67 million from a dry cleaners that lost his pants has loosened the belt on his lawsuit. Now, he's asking for only $54 million, according to a May 30 court filing in D.C. Superior Court.

Roy L. Pearson, a District of Columbia administrative law judge, first sued Custom Cleaners over a pair of pants that went missing two years ago. He was seeking about $65 million under the D.C. consumer protection act and almost $2 million in common law claims.

A man leaves Custom Cleaners, in Washington on Wednesday, May 2, 2007. A customer who believes he was mistreated by a dry cleaner has dropped the pants from his suit. Roy L. Pearson, who filed a $67 million lawsuit against the dry cleaning business that lost his pants, has lowered his demand. When I first saw this I couldn't believe I was hearing correctly. Then I remembered that liberals will say anything to serve their purpose of the moment, even if it is exactly the opposite of the stand they took yesterday.

Why or why not?

I think they are useful terms. It's not that a blue state is 90% Democrat and a red state is 90% Republican.

It's the fact that Republicans running in blue states have to run as liberals and Democrats running in red states have to run as conservatives. For example, Rudolph Guiliani. He's a Republican but he's pro-choice, pro-civil unions for gays, and pro-common sense gun control laws. Zell Miller, on the other hand, was a Democratic senator from Georgia. He didn't get elected by running as a liberal. He ran as a conservative. In fact, he spoke in support of Dubya at the 2004 Republican convention.

If theses differences between regions did not exist, you would not see the northeast and west coast vote as a bloc for Democrats and the confederate south and midwest vote for Republicans.

Only a handful of states are swing states.

My cousin was murdered in Philadelphia when I was 13. It was devestating because i had the mindset of ' oh well, that's sad, but it will never happen to anyone I know'. How did you get through dealing with a senseless death, and legal processes that followed it? The guy who killed her was found guilty of abuse of a corpse, and sentenced to jail for a few years. I don't think I will ever understand how he was not charged with murdering my cousin. Do you ever feel any regret or sudden bursts of anger or sadness when you think about the victim or the killer. Are you ever angry enough that you feel like screaming? My cousin did not deserve to be strangled and thrown away. I want the guy who killed her to know that he is hated, and I wish he would rot in jail for the rest of his life. Many people find it surprising that I do not want him to die, but living a life in prision will torture him, and make him remember forever what he did.
