Me and my wıfe are Turkish citizens and we live in Turkey but she wants to give birth to our daughter in England. If our daughter is born in England would she get a British birth certificate and get a passport later on. Thank You.

In 1991, Ted Kennedy (among others, used President Bush's desire to act in a bipartisan manner to work out a deal for a tax increase, which of course violated the President's NO New Taxes Campaign pledge. This got Bill Clinton elected President.
Now, Ted Kennedy has sucked Republican Sen.s Kyle, Graham, McCain and others into supporting a bill (which is already partially responsible for getting some Republicans voted out of office) which probably will be their political death. Unfortunately, the Democrats always have someone to run to replace these Republicans and the constituents NEVER seem to realize that they are worse off with the Democrat.
I wonder when Republicans will ever learn that NO Democrat has the best interest of the nation in mind?

As I type this, I'm watching the House Session of the Oregon State legislature from earlier today (don't ask me why). Most of the bills they're voting on are passing unanimously, or almost unanimously, and they're doing it fast, too.

Obviously, state legislatures are smaller than the national Congress, but why do you honestly think that Congress takes so long to do their job (I'm speaking about every Congress, not just the current one). Should Congress expand and start working 4 days a week? How about 5 days a week?

What should Congress do to agree more, and work faster? No ideas will be denied (unless it calls for outlawing all other political parties.)

People like John Edwards think that our policies have failed to keep us safe, but this seems counter to the evidence that in the last almost six years there has not been a successful terrorist attack on our soil (though recent news about Fort Dix and JFK airport suggest that they have formed plans that failed). Could someone please ask him this question at the next debate? I can't imagine any reasonable answer. He'll probably throw out more slogans like "bumper sticker" and evade the question.
