In 1991, Ted Kennedy (among others, used President Bush's desire to act in a bipartisan manner to work out a deal for a tax increase, which of course violated the President's NO New Taxes Campaign pledge. This got Bill Clinton elected President.
Now, Ted Kennedy has sucked Republican Sen.s Kyle, Graham, McCain and others into supporting a bill (which is already partially responsible for getting some Republicans voted out of office) which probably will be their political death. Unfortunately, the Democrats always have someone to run to replace these Republicans and the constituents NEVER seem to realize that they are worse off with the Democrat.
I wonder when Republicans will ever learn that NO Democrat has the best interest of the nation in mind?

I don't believe that for a second. Kennedy's agenda is far greater than ruining the republican party. He is a left wing socialist, who's agenda is to change our country to socialism plain and simple. He will take suckers from both parties and ruin them both.

Because they decided that this was VietNam all over again, and wanted to get in front of the anti-war movement. Note for Mr. Hamilton: I've noticed the same thing-It's because "Bush lied". They ignore that some of the quotes (including some mentioned here) date from the Clinton administration. Damn space-time continuum...

Just like this Amnesty bill they tried to put through. It was teddy boy's bill and now harry reid is saying it was the President's bill. Now Congress member william jefferson is trying to blame the President for the crimes he has committed regarding the 90k that was found in his freezer! The Defeatocrats are a real joke and an embarrassment to Our Great Nation.

"No Democrat has the best interest of the nation in mind" You must be a child. Republicans have ran up a $9 trillion debt. and the Iraq occupation will cost working class tax payers $2 trillion. Republicans were in power when the USA was attacked on Sept. 11th. and Bush was even told in advance. The Republican war in Iraq has cost America over 3500 dead and 250,000 wounded. What exactly is "the best interest of the nation" that the Republicans have in mind? Have some more Cool Aid..

Ted Kenendy a 300 pound secret? Nope
Neither Democrats nor Republicans are able to fix our problems. War, illegal immigration, open borders, access to healthcare.
It's time for change...start voting independant.

If poor Teddie could get his head out of that bottle, he just might be dangerous. Unfortunately, since he killed Mary Jo and has not had an intelligent thing to say since 1962, he has gotten deeper and deeper into that bottle. I think the people in Massachusetts reelect him out of pity.

yes, because there's no way that passing the 9/11 commission reccomendations when Bush failed to do so, raising the minmum wage so most Americans can get out of poverty, trying to create universal healthcare so everyone can see a doctor was in America's best interest. Those democrats sure hate America.

Teddy is hardly a "secret" weapon. We all know about him, and he's very clear on his agenda. It was hardly Teddy's fault that Papa Bush didn't get re-elected...we were just smarter back then.

Pappa Bush did not get elected because he stood in front of the country claiming the economy is good and we all knew it wasn't.
Pappa Bush was kicked out because he was a liar and we all knew it.
