The federal government has not represented the American people for a very long time. Decades in fact. Whenever anyone heads up to DC as a "Reformer" they are quickly schooled in corruption. For example, there are literally 2 drug company lobbyists for every congressmen. So naturally when a bill was introduced to allow americans to buy out of country medication came up it was shot down even though the american citizen is paying 95% more for the same drugs as other people in other countries. The federal government is absolutely 100% corrupt!

I know I have freedom of Speech, but I still better watch what I say. All I'm saying is, I feel we need it, but not so much of it. I mean, it keeps getting worse and wosrse. (More controlling) and I'm waiting until the day they try and take gun rights away! CHA! OVER MY DEAD BODY. I'm not old enough to own a gun yet, but I live in a rural area, and have been going deer hunting sinse I was 12, So I have been around guns sinse then, not to mention the *hunters saftey corse* (A person has to take that and PASS it with a high score, before they can go out into the woods with a gun) and when people say "Guns kill people" DO THEY DON'T.....It's the person behind the gun. The gun does not have a mind of it's own. Most guns have a saftey on them, and people with the right teachings and skills are very careful, and KNOW not to point a gun at a person, even when it is NOT loaded.....I could go on and on here, and I know that wasn't the question, sorry about that bud, but it really eerks me, and *gun rights* DO have to do with the government, so....yeah....

Although it has several issues right now, it is still better than any other in the world. When they get out of line ( like right now) the great thing is we stand together as voters and let them know how we believe and how we expect them to behave. It would be a better Government if there was less of it .

Generally speaking..
the Federal Gov't is only as good as the people it employs..

for the most part (except the Military)..the Gov't is replete with individuals hell-bent on expanding their own purview of their job and throwing their collective weight around on the rest of us..

they are gilded from the git-go...get compensation that
few if any left in this Country can expect..annual raises..benefits for life..every holiday they can think of..

given their built-in mediocrity..and lack of any real incentive to make a difference..

The US Gov't fails miserably in terms of the return on investment we the people make..in it.

Considering the IRS is Federal and can ruin lives, confiscate our possessions and run rampant with no control system in place to stop them, I think the Federal government sucks.

I am discussed. We elect these officials to support our needs and wants to make this a better land and we get shafted every time. This is not new, I know, but the older I get the wiser I get about it. I want someone who will support the majority of this Nations beliefs and needs.

I feel like sometimes our elected representatives say things they've heard I want just to get my support so they can continue their standard of living that FYI is well beyond the one that I have. If they want my support and my input they can go ahead and look me up and cut me a check.

It was set up with good ideas, but unfortunately people have added more rules to it and have messed up the system.
