My soon to be ex depostied my paychecks into an acct that we used to pay our bills and each of us had access to by the way of a debit card. The acct was in his name only. I was STUPID, I know but I trusted him. I just found out a check I wrote bounced when I know that there were funds to cover it. When I called my ex, he said he closed the acct not too long after we split up. W/O his permission, I can't get his financial records so does anyone know what I need to do to prove that my checks were deposited into this acct.? Or is my only option to call an attorney to get his financial records? I know I could say that too bad, the check has his signature so he wrote it but that would screw the person who I wrote the check to. I just want to know how to prove that part of the $ was mine.

I'm a first year Air Force ROTC cadet, well last week after the detachment went to dinner a upperclassman cadet pulled me aside and told me that maybe I should "consider" other options then ROTC, because my personality is not what the Air Force needs. What the heck does that mean? I'm trying to pursue a career in public affairs and he wants me to change my personality. I'm a people person, I'm the kind of person that listens and considers all options before I consider doing something rash. Just because I don't want to become a pilot, doesn't mean that I'm not Air Force officer material does it?

if you dont like fox news then just dont watch it..... do they not know that watching the viewpoint of the other side makes you more informed as to their tactics. that is how i know that they are a propaganda machine ...because i watch it . if you watched other news sources from time to time then perhaps you might see things clearer.....it is written " Keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer"

It appears that the Iraq/Afghanistan war spending bill containing a non-binding time line for troop withdrawal will be passed by both the Democratic controlled House and Senate. President Bush has made it very clear that this bill will be vetoed when it gets to his desk. It is also fairly clear that Democrats will not have sufficient votes to override a Presidential veto in either the House or the Senate. So what is the next move?

Anyone doubt that if we were under a Democrat president with the same situation, they'd be crowing as to how good the economy is?

with all the republican scandals going on the attorney generals alzheimers disease, the bush white house appointing a bush cabinet member to investigate themselves, the war going badly, the calling for the vice president to be impeached, and countless other newsworthy stories floating out there . Why is Fox spending so much airtime on a story that belongs on the E tv network...

I heard they just make people unconscious, or make their legs feel really painful if shot there. Would it be a good idea to replace all civilian bullets with rubber bullets? The U.S. constitution gives it's citizens the right to bear arms for protection and defense, right? So if everyone had rubber bullets, they could defend themselves from assailants/robbers/etc by knocking them unconscious instead of killing them.
Hunting weapons w/ regular bullets could be kept on the hunting range or something.
This is only for civilian arms, not military.
Is this a good idea? or do I have facts messed up? or is it really stupid and hardly thought out?

No question that I am a conservative. I find it disturbing that people on both sides take events such as this and VT massacre and turn it into a political cause.

How can you blame one side or the other without blaming both? I think Bush and his administration ignored several warning signs that could have prevented in his first 8 months of the presidency. However, giving Bill Clinton a pass on this is stupid. He had 8 years of missed warnings. Somalia, First World Trade Center, Cole, and he ignored the warnings as well. Liberals blaming Bush for 9/11 is like saying it is the closer's fault that the starting pitcher gave up 6 runs in the 9th inning. The closer giving up the final run does not make him solely responsible.

when there is such great american history on such things like the civil rights movement, women's suffrage, the abolitionist movement, and labor rights in America?

My guess is that they will lose viewers when all the cons change the channel.

If more people knew it was left-wing radicals, progressives, and liberals who supported all these great things, there wouldn't be so many clueless conservatives in America. You guys really need to get over the Republican always equal conservative and Democrat always equaled liberal myth.

The Republican Party wasn't always a southern conservative dominated party. It used to be dominated by northeastern radicals/progressives/liberals. The father of modern conservatism, Barry Goldwater, once said he wished the entire northeastern seaboard fell into the ocean. Likewise, the Democratic party used to have a racist southern conservative wing. They all started scrambling to the Republican Party since 1964 when Barry Goldwater ran for president.
