I mean, if Dems = great economy, then I should get really, really rich with Dems in charge, right? Gee, maybe Dems are the best thing for the economy after all. Do ya 'spose if I worked really, really hard at it that I could actually wrap my mind around that concept? And continue getting richer at the same time, of course! :-))

A common talking point on the right is that you can't question the president during war time. Just yesterday, Tom Delay said it was treason.

I wonder then how we had elections during bother the Vietnam and Korean Wars, and in both cases, the White House changed from Democrat to Republican.

Did Ike and Nixon get elected without questioning how their respective wars were being fought?

Sean Penn's recent comments about Bush and his observations for years about Iraq show great wisdom and maturity. seems to me he is exactly what we need to replace the current screw up in the executive branch

Even though I voted for him in 2000, but not in 2004. I can no longer give him my support. He seems to be more concerned about big companies profits than what's good for America. His insistence that we invade Iraq was about as stupid as it gets.

The major factor that can bring these two superpowers into direct conflict is Taiwan.

The Chinese regime has constantly reiterated that within the next decade Taiwan will be integrated with the mainland, even if that is to be accomplished using coercion. 80% Of the Taiwan residents prefer the status quo, wherein they are not part of China.

In 2003 George Bush made unequivocally clear to the Chinse leadership that if China were to attack Taiwan, this would engender full scale military hostilities between the USA and China, because the the USA is committed by law to defend Taiwan against a Chinese invasion....

...How Likely Is A Military Confrontation Between The USA and China???

I've seen that game show "Deal or No Deal" and my stepmom told me that the government may actually take out as much as 50% or even as high as 60% in taxes if the dollar amount is like over $80,000 or $150,000 or whatever.

How much would they take out in taxes, really? And would it be a one time thing or would they next year take out even more taxes from that same dollar amount?

Tomorrow for an English class i have to debate about gay marriage. Personally I am impartial, but my teacher is having me be on the side arguing that gay marriage should not be allowed. I need a strong argument agaisnt gay marriage, besides religous reasons. Like I said i am impartial but i got screwed over and was assigned a side.
