Stevs, you haven't studied history much. Have you? Geeze, let's see, Lincoln was a Republican. The Dem.s wanted the union disolved and to continue slavery. WW I, President Wilson managed to keep America out of it for how many years? WW II, the republicans had to be dragged into to it kicking and screaming -- Roosevelt's embargo against Japan played heavily into the decision to attack Pearl Harbor. (Not saying I disagree but) his "Lend/Lease Act deal with the Brit.s sure went a long way to drawing us in against the Germans... Korea was a U.N. job... How about Kennedy with Vietnam --escalated by Johnson? It took Nixon to get us out of it...
Generally, it has more often than not been the democrats who got us into war. But then, the "New" liberal generation is too young to know this and has refused to study history. Tell me, do you suppose that if Newt had done Madeline's job, as Nancy has tried to do Condi's, maybe we could have avoided 9/11 all together? Should Nancy have been arrested for impersonating the Sec. of State?

I'd say the more appropriate question would be "why do Democrats always stand against the best interests/security interests od the United States?". Not that you could EVER get a Democrat to answer that question...they'd be too busy ducking and dodging or waste their answer time pointing fingers at President Bush!

Seriously, since you've posed this ridiculous question, answer this (feel free to send me an email on it...if you dare)...seriously, what steps taken since 9/11 to secure our country have you (or Democrats in general) supported? Anything...? Democrats have stood against EVERY SINGLE measure taken to attempt to secure this country and/or engage our enemies where they hide and train...what steps would you support taking? Is there anything specifically you wouold like to see done to secure this country and it's people (which, I think, includes you & your family)?
