having as many families as they can? Giuliani has been married three times, Gingrich has been married three times, McCain has been married twice and so was Reagan. Rush Limbaugh, of course has been married and divorced three times and he is a staunch defender of family values. Ann Coulter has never been married. Well, that is not surprising.

I am a retired military officer and teacher. Most of my life I have been conservative. But have voted Dem as often as Rep.
But now, watching Bush, I am too much reminded of Nixon. Neither seems to care what the American people want. The more his smirk goes to the Right, the further I move to the left. The man must be stopped by congress and senate. Write them, please.

1. He supposedly lied to us about iraq: he went off intelligence reports that the CIA provided, so the CIA lied to us. And call me crazy, but didn't Mrs. Bill Clinton look at the same reports and vote for the war?

2. He has supposedly destroyed our economy: has anyone stopped to consider that just maybe 9/11 affected it, enron, or all of the natural desaster that have been going on? and don't even ask how the disasters have an affect on the economy

3. He has supposedly killed hundreds of people: if people are talking about soldiers, all presidents have had servicemen die in some sort of combat while they are in office. If people mean civilians, tell me on conflict anywhere that civilans haven't been killed. and hey, clinton has "killed" too. he didn't give soldiers in somalia sufficient equipment to finish the job. he didn't help the Northern Alliance enough to destroy the Taliban, who have killed thousands in afghanistan and the US

To the poster who denied MLK Jr ever denounced Reagan:

As I already said, Reagan wasn't born in 1980. He was a national figure well known in the 60s for his opposition to the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

You won't believe my sources.

Well how about this right-wing source?

There is probably no greater sacred cow in America than Martin Luther King Jr. The slightest criticism of him or even suggesting that he isn’t deserving of a national holiday leads to the usual accusations of racist, fascism, and the rest of the usual left-wing epithets not only from liberals, but also from many ostensible conservatives and libertarians.

This is amazing because during the 50s and 60s, the Right almost unanimously opposed the civil rights movement. Contrary to the claims of many neocons, the opposition was not limited to the John Birch Society and southern conservatives. It was made by politicians like Ronald Reagan and Barry Goldwater, and in the pages of Modern Age, Human Events...
