I am joining the military after I finish college. But the reason I am joining, and he agreed was we beleive that America has given us everything to make us who we are. We are able, and cable people who are now ready to give back to our country, and the people who make up this country, and defend there rights to freedom. An make sure other countries can be free. Agree, or disagree?

Bush invades, Dems whine there are not enough troops. Bush wakes up, wants to send more troops, Dems whine about that. Then Dems/liberals/leftists posit that we beat Germany faster. Yet do not look at the carpet bombing and fire bombing of civilain centers in WW2 as a main reason for the quick defeat of the Nazi. Are Dems saying they would have been okay with giving Iraqi cities the Dresden treatment when the invasion started? Are they just disgruntled whiners who haven't grown up yet?

Today Bush quoted two Iraqi bloggers to support his contention his strategy in Iraq is "working."

So. . . .Bush won't listen to the Study group, to foreign policy experts who have spent their careers studying the middle east, to Congress, or to the Amrican people.

But he listens to IRAQI BLOGGERS????

Is this how "the Decider" formulates foreign policy?

This is the law....question to follow..

Common-law partner
You are a common-law partner—either of opposite sex or same-sex—if you have been living with your sponsor in a conjugal relationship for at least one year. The year of living together must be a continuous 12-month period and cannot be intermittent periods that add up to one year. However, you are allowed temporary absences for short periods of time for business travel or family reasons.

You will have to provide documents that prove that you and your common-law partner have combined your affairs and have set up your household together in one home.

QUESTION...

If the person being sponsored was a common law spouse for a year IN CANADA, would it be applicable or acceptable to application?

Even Republicans in Congress have turned against Bush. Yahoo! cons appear to be his last level of support.

It's a rock and a hard place. If we leave Iraq the way it is, fending for itself, it will surely fail, but if we stay until all conflict is over, we may be there for a hundred years. I guess that's what happens when you try to inject 21st century democratic government into a nearly stoneage culture.

The small number of illegals who actually pay taxes have a large number of children and, therefore, have enough deductions to get most, if not all, their money back. In addition, they drain our schools and health care systems.

So, tell me, how do illegals pay taxes and help the economy, as so many claim?

We do have our problems of course.
Another part of of the questions are "are we the economic power house of the day"? Are we constantly, by the left or right, "trying to make ourselves better, socially, economically and militarily"? Now, I'm not saying we are not going to fall like Rome did, but right now, Iran and North Korea doesn't want to mess around. Really. I know what the Army can do.

The problem with the Republican party is that they've strayed far from their core values.

The problem with the Libertarian party is that they have problems organizing on a national scale, even sometimes on a local scale.

For those of us who favor the values listed in the question, which is the better route to take?
1) Being a Republican and trying to bring the party back to its core values
or
2) Being a Libertarian and trying to bring some solidarity and organization into the party

Knowing everything we know now about world history from 1945 to present, wouldn't the world be a much better place had America just nuked the USSR and China into submission, then just divided the entire East and much of Europe into states governed under the United States Constitution? Eventuallally we could just annex the rest of Europe, then take over South America, Africa, and the Middle East. But we would leave Austrailia alone. We could just send our prisoners there. Anyway think about it - the world would be a much better place, and we really did have a window of opportunity.
