Knowing everything we know now about world history from 1945 to present, wouldn't the world be a much better place had America just nuked the USSR and China into submission, then just divided the entire East and much of Europe into states governed under the United States Constitution? Eventuallally we could just annex the rest of Europe, then take over South America, Africa, and the Middle East. But we would leave Austrailia alone. We could just send our prisoners there. Anyway think about it - the world would be a much better place, and we really did have a window of opportunity.

Hopefully you're joking. If you're not, read the Constitution. Read American History. See if you can figure out what this country stands for.

Firstly, we didn't have enough product to make any large stockpiles of radiological weapons, and wouldn't for a few years, if we had peace. Also, we were allied with China and the Soviets, and it came as a slow and sad realization to the world, when the Cold War began, that friends had become enemies.
Secondly, who is to say that in one hundred years we won't be close allies and friends with these two? We drew the blood of our own, when we rebelled against the Kof E, in 1776; and yet, the UK is one of our staunchest allies, today.

I think the USSR and the UK just MIGHT have had a different idea and they DID have about twice as many troops in uniform as the U.S. did at the war's end.
The reason Truman didn't give Stalin the secret of nuclear energy was, he knew he could not whip the USSR in an even fight and certainly not if they had the 'bomb' too.

What Americans have in might and money, they more than compensate for by their lack of wisdom, culture and breeding. Their greed, corruption, hypocrisy and vulgarity are already permeating throughout the civilized world like a cancer that destroys anything that is not readily understood by their simple money-driven minds.
The only up side of them having taken over the world in 1945 is that like the Soviet Union, the US empire would probable have disintegrated by now.

What you are suggesting is what the Nazis were trying to achieve but with your plans to use nuclear weapons the death toll would have been significantly larger and your arrogance in thinking you could achieve this is unbelievable

Never would have happened. China and Russia are and were just way too big. Africa would have been easy. India might have had something to say about it too.

George Patton had it right and so do you. Look at how many people were murdered by Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao, Amin, etc. The long term cost would have saved millions of lives.

I'm sure it turned out great in your computer game, but in reality ambitions of world domination are seldom a sign of a balanced individual.

I think the fact that we didn't just proves that we aren't the imperialists that some of our own people say we are.
