Having tax cuts during war time is ridiculous, but having tax cuts that are heavily slanted toward the wealthy during war time is even worse.

You're an idiot because president bush's veto was based on other reasons. Mostly because the bill they tried to pass was filled with bribe money. Millions upon millions sent to pork, spinich, shrimp, etc. I guess the moron liberals in the house and senate were trying to catch up with the spending of the war. Bush also plans to use the veto because the bill will murder our toops so that the Liberals can win the '08 election. You don't believe me, look real close at the bill. Why do they want them to pull out in '08 and not now? The reason is that they want a bloodbath to ensue so that they stand a better chance in the election. I am of course talking to conservatives, independants, and the few sensible democrats out there. Not the pinko terrorists like you.

Goodness sake but this is a twisted statement.

I'm a democrat and I can't believe you actually think that President Bush is the one trying to cut troop spending when half our party is cheering the plan to bleed the war out of any funding and trying to pass bills to do it! Are you insane or just thinking that if you say a lie boldly enough it will be believed? You aren't doing us any favors here!

Second, when did it become, "We OWE our government any money it wants."?

It's MY MONEY! They want less money, and we get upset? When did I HAVE to give my money to other people? When did it go from charity, to a DEBT?

I hate socialism. It's destroying my party.

Give me a break. A) the bill is a poison pill and you know it (certainly the Dems do - who are the ones playing politics here with our troops lives), B) don't worry about the tax breaks, the Dems are actively working on giving us the largest tax increases in US history! Time for us all to "pony up"!

So you don't have the balls to just cut funding so you pack a bill with pork after the President said he would veto it. This is pure cowardice. How you can look at yourself in a mirror I will never understand. You haven't got a clue how much blood is on your hands. Casualties to date will seem minuscule compared to what will come if we pull out of Iraq.

Bush will be putting the troops in harms way by vetoing the funding for the troops.
