Because he's greedy and is using finding osama as an excuse to hold power over oil trading. Didn't you notice that our gas prices didn't go up while clinton was in office? Thanks!

We're in Iraq for several reasons. First of all, we are the United States of America. We are more powerful than most nations, and we feel we have a duty to the less fortunate. Don't think of the situation in Iraq as something terrible - think if it as a change for humanity. The US and Iraqi soldiers are on the same team - they are working together to eliminate the the terrorists living in Iraq. We are in Iraq to help because our army has tanks, and the Iraqi army has pick-up trucks. There is a big difference there, and in order for Iraq to conquer these terrorists, we needed to help. They don't want the terrorists living there just as much as we don't. Also, we're in Iraq because there were threats made that the terrorists had weapons of mass destruction. We went in searching for these weapons, so that the terrorists wouldn't use them.
Bush's decision to go to Iraq was tough, and he knew some people wouldn't like it. Think of it this way, if we go into Iraq and they have nothing, then people will be mad. But, if we don't go into Iraq and they have the weapons and we get attacked, then people will be mad. No matter what, some people are going to be unpleased, and Bush thought the best preventative measure was to go in Iraq.

My husband is currently deployed, and I'm all for this war. Personally I'd rather have our men over there then having crazy talibans running planes into buildings.
Besides our soldiers are more at risk of dying on a highway then they are in a combat zone.
Believe it or not, but our soldiers 'want' to be over there no matter what the tv reporters say. They believe in this country & want to keep it free. Why would you join the military if you didn't believe that??

for his own personal gain. oil
oh by the way, being a soldier is by choice. I don't feel sorry for them being there. I feel sorry for the ones who didn't recognize what the military does.

Don't feel terrible, most of us want to be there. Were there to fight terrorism now. Even though we went in there for different reasons. That is why we are there now.
