There numerous benefits of the war.
First and most important, It ghas been shown, thatif you are crazy dictator, You can and will be deposed, regardless how big is your army. There was a trend of little dictators like Lukashenko and Miloshevich and alikes. now they ve got a messsage.

2. The entire Iraqi nation was liberated. Did anyone see cheers on the streets after Hussein lost his power?..

3. Hussein was actually prosecuted for genocide. No such thing heppened after WWII

4 It showed once again, that UN is a joke, and we need a change not to allow genocide any more.

And more and more. World became a better and safer place.

Its easy to be antiwar from a comfort of your home. But if your relative was dissolved in Acid in Husseins torture chambers, how would you feel?.

After reading through these posts, it seems as though some (not all) of non-Americans blame the USA for "taking over their culture" and thus making their fellow countrymen obese, stupid, or "chavs".

Can the ones of you that feel this way not realize that you are doing this to yourselves?? Is there an American on every street corner shoving McDonalds down your throat or forcing you to listen to 50 cent and wear hoodies?

And as far as GWB goes, most Americans can't wait for his term in office to be OVER. He has an extremely low approval rating. Yes, he was voted in in 2004, but none of us Americans can predict the future in that this war in Iraq would turn into such a mess. If any of you have any suggestions as to how we can look into the future and see how a politician is going to run our country, by all means, let us know and you won't have to complain about us ever again!

Sure there are tough decisions out there, but someone has to make them. I mean how many people could do the job as well as President Bush does? Someone needs to be the decider.

My brother and I would like to help my sister by letting her have my deceased parent's home. Since she has a mental disability we do not want her to sell the home and then blow the cash. Is there a cheap way of doing this? Is there an alternative to going to a lawyer and having the house put in trust for her? Could we be custodians through a bank or something? Also, with any of our names on the inherited house, would we have to pay income tax. This is a small estate.

It appears the Kurds, Sunni and Shiite have always been rivals and have always brutally fought and killed each other. Al Maliki seems to be promoting Shiite, rather than treating all factions equally. Can democracy be forced on the Iraqi, when they really want their own religion to control Iraq? At what point should we spend stop spending American money and lives to do this? Our country is already beyond broke and our own people suffering. When is enough done for the Iraqi?

I came to the U.S. to get my BA, and met an American fellow student who is now my husband. My question is, what sort of visa forms do we need to fill out now that we're married, since I'm still on a student visa? I've been researching online, but the only ones I can find are for American citizens to bring their fiancees into the U.S. to marry; we married here in the U.S. (just last weekend, in fact!). Besides the normal name-change forms for DMV and Social Security, does anybody know what government forms we need to have taken care of? Thanks!

The U.S. isn't winning in Iraq because the politicians won't allow it
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Retired Air Force Colonel Tom Snodgrass has one of the best articles so far summarizing why the U.S. isn't winning in Iraq. He provides ample evidence showing that the problem is politicians don't support a full war, which was the problem in Vietnam. He points out that the "War on Terror" is a misleading label, since it reminds people of the "war on drugs" or "war on poverty," permitting people to go about their daily lives as if there wasn't a real war going on - hence they're less supportive of a full-blown deployment. But since Iran is providing the Iraqi insurgents with weapons and other tactical support, we're already essentially fighting Iran as well as Iraq. This is a bigger war than people realize. If we continue focusing only on Iraq and not Iran, Iran will continue to funnel support to Iraq, undermining our efforts.

3 minors broke into a house. Ages 16,17,17. Stole over $3000 worth of personal property. They got arrested a week later, taken to jail and are now out on bail until their day in court. What should be done to them? How would you dicipline these kids? Only one has a prior record, not for burglary. Please think about it and answer. Thanks.

When this "free" country has GWB as the president?
Anyone who lived in the US for a while knows the last thing that can be said about America is freedom. Property-tax, weapon restrictions, taxes almost like Sweden. But hollywood still has not changed, they still make movies about the "free" country. The terrorist in 911 might have been tired of 711? Tired and liked to liberate us, have that ever occurd to you?

I mailed a letter to a bunch of state education administrators, reporting a problem with a high school test approved by my state's education department. I basically showed (using documented research) how the test is fairly bogus in terms of the way it's used (Sort of like having an advanced placement test in French where you only had to get one answer correct out of 10 to get college credit--that's not the real test--just using it for an example.) Should I worry about some good squad tracking me down (I put my return name & address on the letter).

Instead of sending so many troops and spending so much money on Iraq why didn't we send Arther Fonzarelli to the Middle East? The Fonz wins at everything and has often bested experts in their own fields. I think we would already have caught Bin Laden a long time ago if Fonzie was in Afghanistan... and Iraq would have shut down by now. And i bet the Iraqi women would be swarming at his feet when he snaps his fingers which would make the Iraqi men think Americans are super cool!

I just think it was a HUGE oversight that Rumsfield (and Gates now) and Bush and Cheney made on this one.
