The public has learned it's lesson after Vietnam.

Nobody blames our veterans or active military for the actions of a few. So many are forced to serve in that war because they happened to be active or reserves when it started and are prevented from leaving through extensions.

Respect is due to all unless the individual is know be associated with a specific misdeed.

are you kidding me! the veterans of our great nation deserve all the respect and honor and should get better treatment and benifits than they do! you want to say how terrible they are according to stories you've heard, i'm assuming on the news, that is complete bs! you don't hear the good stories of what's happened over there, all you here is the bad....and did you ever stop to think of the horrible acts being done to them! there is a higher standard set to our soliders, when there are worse things being done (in every war) to our men and women. i can only imagine what they are thinking and feeling over there...and let's just end this, with if you think you are better than them and could do better at defending our liberties...get your a** in boot camp and YOU go over seas...then you can talk!

Don't judge all of them as bad because of a few bad apples. Most deserve allot of respect.
