Prince Harry is going to Iraq. He threatened to quit the military unless he went..

He’ll become a primary target & therefore risk his fellow troops. If Harry was kidnapped and tortured on video or killed it would be a disaster. So, one of the four elite SAS squadrons has been tasked with protecting him

Before Harry goes anywhere, the SAS will sweep the area & secure it in advance.. Then they’ll shadow him at a distance & let him play soldiers in safety. The SAS will kill any enemy before they get near anywhere him

The British SAS are the most elite, most proven, best trained & deadly Special Forces in the world. But the superhuman fitness, stamina, bravery & intelligence needed to be a Special Forces soldier means they’re very rare.

Should the most skilled soldiers be wasted on protecting a spoiled Prince so he can play war without the real risk of war? Or should Harry stay home & let the SAS do real stuff like preventing terrorism, rescuing hostages, assassinating warlords etc.

The media was beating the war drums and blaming Sadam of all evils and the US should invade. Almost every American was for it and excited to go and show the whole world what a cowboy nation we are and how we kick a$$e$. The Congress was for it too. Now EVERYONE playing "the not me game", when things are bad, but if the war have went well, EVERYONE would have been batting his or her shoulder saying ..bravo..i told u we kick a$$,..didn^t i ?

Let's try real hard to keep politics out of this and operate under the premise that the U.S. will probably substantially withdraw from Iraq in the forseeable future.

Now, let's remember Vietnam where we picked up our toys and went home leaving hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese who had helped us stranded. Some were tortured and killed, some were "reeducated", and some imprisoned.

In all likelihood, if we were to exit Iraq in the same style, the Vietnam travesty would be repeated in Iraq. How can we exit and still protect those who helped us?

The neighborhood I work next to is the stuck-up, rich golf course in every backyard, 1.4M starting price kind of neghborhood...

They even hired Wackenhut to police their area, full time.

I speed often, and Wackenhut tries to pull me over, alot. They did one time, but just held me until they called the cops...
My car can pretty much outrun their vehicles, they have Jeep liberties, so I just ignore them.

Does Wackenhut really have any right to give me a ticket?

Is it legal to carry an expandable baton?? I live in Orange County, California. Also, does it matter if it is concealed or on a belt clip.
It is very discreet (about 7 inches closed, much longer when expanded). NOT Spring loaded. P.S. what about Handcuffs or Zip-Tie style restraints?

My country needs someone like him or like Mrs Thatcher.

French economy is such a failure. We should have had our "Mr Reagan". Instead of Reagan we had Mitterrand. A socialist loser. Nowadays we're stuck like losy people with our post-soviet economy... 4 millions people unemployed. Compared to France, Poland looks dynamic and competitive.

I am a US Citizen and my wife is an MD/PhD Scientist who has been in the USA for 9 years. We married in Dec 2005, and filed for her Green Card in February 2006 and had our interview in June 2006, when we were told the FBI hasn't completed their background check yet and it could take several months to several years. I heard that Chinese Scientist are having to sue the Federal Government to get action and it seems to work. I was told by my senator's office (Maria Cantwell's Office) to wait six months before suing. They were the ones that told me that law suits seem to get some action in getting the background check done.

I listened to Rush this morning talking about the Fluorescent bulb versus the 'standard' bulb, and how he could not equate getting using only 14W of power and getting illumination equivalent to 60 watts.

A standard bulb LOSES about 80-90% of current drawn to HEAT, so of the 60 watts to drive a standard bulb, only about 12-15 watts is converted to light, and the rest is a loss to heat.

In the fluorescent bulb, a gas is electrically charged, which exites the atoms, hence light, and very little loss to heat. So of 14 watts drawn, most of it is converted to light...

Many politicans believe their is such thing as a zero-emission car, etc. A non-negotiable fact of mfg is you cannot produce anything without causing pollution, not a toothpick, not solar cell, or a Prius, NOTHING.

And to THINK of all those highly educated politicans, with their basket-weaving degree's...making decisions with the mindset of a child.

k now im on the pro side... here it is:

Topic: National Service

Resolved: The United States federal government should establish a policy substantially increasing the number of persons serving in one or more of the following national service programs: AmeriCorps, Citizen Corps, Senior Corps, Peace Corps, Learn and Serve America, Armed Forces.

so since im on pro, the basic argument is that im trying to back up why the US should establish a policy (eg. draft, but open to any other policy) increasing the # of ppl participating in national service. any reasons and solid evidence or backup is greatly appreciated...
