It doesn't work. It has never worked as Marx described it. The problem with Marx is that he distrusted art and religion and saw people as machines. He could figure out a system that would make everything the most productive and encourage physical health, but not one that left any room for human imagination / ambition / spirituality / etc. Communism would only work in a society of ridiculously boring people.

The closest anything like communism has come to working is probably the Amish and Mennonite communities... Notice they are entirely based on religion, a thing Marx thought was bad for society. Definitely indicates Marx didn't understand human psychology.

Communism was tried and tested. We had the USSR, Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.
It failed, and the satelite countries that were over-run in the early days returned to independence. We now have Russia, which, although still run by some communists, is mainly moving away from communism - although it will take some time for the Old Guard to be eradicated.

i've got not got faith that communism can artwork in my opinion, yet I incredibly have a chum in teachers that makes an exceptionally valid argument. using Marxism in particular, you're conscious that a short-term authoritarian regime would be carried out after the overthrow of the bourgeoisie. This regime is assume to be short-term. the completed objective of the fast-term regime is to retrain society. enable society unlearn the exploitative nature of capitalism and study the value and high quality of a communist society. So in simple terms positioned, the character of human society can and could substitute if given the prospect under a regime pushing them in direction of it.

There is two different types of communism.

Stalinism, and communism.

In theory, communism is the best form of government. It ensures equality of everyone, and it enforces a no government stance therefore everyone is equal. This equality may help by preventing crimes and internal or civil wars. Unfortunately, communism is shadowed by stalinism, and what we have seen in the past century. We've only seen the bad part of communism, where powerful leaders try and set up a fake communist government, and try and steal the equality for all. The only way for communism to work though is for everyone in the society to give in, and not expect everything. I would never like a communist government as my own since there is a very easy chance of a revolt against people for power. The only way that communism would ever work is if there was a no religion and no capitalist governments. Therefore there would be no competition and no fighting.

Stalinism (the Soviet Union, North Korean, and Vietnam form of government) is completely different from communism. Stalinism contradicts the theory of communism where everyone is the same and there is no higher levels of authority. In Stalinism, there is higher forms of authority, and there is a government which takes everything from people. Many theories can say that Stalinism is the best form of Communism since it enforces a stability and crushes revolts.

Whatever your looks on communism are, I still believe that democracy and capitalism are the best!!! Competition equals life!

Laws and government in general contradict human nature.

People believe that it is possible due to an idealized view of humanity and how things should be, not how they are. As a result, you see people believe that this is the "way it should be" because it is, in theory, the best for everyone involved. This view ignores human irrationality and nature, and as a result, will fail, due to human fallibility.

couldn't you make the same argument for rampent capitalism? It's ultimately going to fail and is failing in many cases due to human greed and inefficiency for the sake of a quick buck.
