WASHINGTON - The U.S. government is at risk of squandering significantly more money in an Iraq war and reconstruction effort that has already wasted, overcharged or poorly tracked $10 billion in taxpayer money, federal investigators said Thursday.
The three top auditors overseeing contract work in Iraq told a House committee that Defense and State department officials condoned or otherwise allowed poor accounting, repeated work delays, bloated expenses and payments for work shoddily or never done by U.S. contractors.
That problem could worsen, the Government Accountability Office said, given limited improvement so far by the Department of Defense even as the Bush administration prepares to boost the U.S. presence in Iraq.
I think it does rise to that level and the Impeachment of Bush and Cheney both is the only course of action for Democrats.

I have had a lack of direction pretty much up until now as to an idea of what I want to do when I get out of school. I am a sophmore in highschool and now I have some ideas. The problem is, up until now I have been slacking in my grades. If I turn them around and get straight A's from now through the two years at my local college, (yes I am capable of that), would I be able to get nominated for West Point?

Politicians take little notice of the electorate after gaining power because they can more or less do as they wish for a substantial period.
Do you think any sane politician would be favouring more and more taxes.
Hospital closures.
Almost non-existent NHS dentistry.
Congestion charges.
Fortnightly refuse collections.
More and more immigration.
More and more European control over our laws. Higher and higher pay for more and more useless crooked MP's.
Ensuring that paedophiles and other slugs human rights are preserved with vast sums of money in compensation paid out to them if they are not.
Government spies peeping at you from every corner and even watching what you put in your rubbish bins.
ID cards that enable the government almost total control over where you go and what you do.
I could go on and on but does anybody think that these things would come to pass or would remain if our elected leaders had to face re-election every two years?

Unfortunately for Democrats, our elections are determined by an electoral college system, not popular vote.

Although there are many counts based on different assumptions, more point to Bush winning the popular vote in Florida.

I have only been married for 10 months, I only got married thinking my husband was going to Iraq, He said I had to marry him in order to get my daughter on insurance. We have been seperated since sept. 2006. I am finding I have alot of problems filing taxes, getting things done. I guess I need to get legally seperated through the courts. I am 20 years old, not to sure how to go about doing that, until I get a divorce. I don't make alot of money, so I can't afford to get a lawyer, if I even need one. Is there any other way to do it. He was abusive towards me, was addicted to drugs, alcohol. He has got kicked out of the army since Nov. 2006 because of the drugs. I just want to be rid of him, how can I get the legal seperation without breaking my pockets. I want to get a divorce, but Like I said, I know that is expensive, and He already stated that he wouldn't sign the papers.

Using this analogy, anyone who cares for the homeless should be forced to house millions of them in their homes.

Or how about this? Since women who don't want kids can just "abort" them to solve their problem (instead of NOT HAVING SEX), how about we just "get rid" of some of the homeless problem?

If killing solves one problem, it should solve ALL problems!!

Anyone working for I CORP? This is very important. I am currently serving in iraq with 3rd brigade 2nd id. I have about 20 months until ETS and im thinking about reenlisting to stay in the army. My goal is to reclass and to request for I CORP to stay in Washington. Now i just heard this rumor that I CORP is leaving Fort Lewis, and letting 2nd ID take charge of the installation. Is this true?
