I mean, the US has no plans to give it up so why not be honest and give them full benefits of being a state?

in our lifetimes so that every time we turn on the TV they aren't front and center crying about how the Big Bad White Man is stopping them from succeeding?

Are they strong people or not--which one is the truth and which is the lie?

Either way, don't you agree that listening to their Chronic Victimization Whining is sooooooooooo boring and, in nearly every case, a COMPLETE AND UTTER FRAUD like the Duke Rape Hoax? Don't they flatter themselves--I don't know anyone who thinks about Liberal African-Americans at all until they starting crying on TV.

When the Americans made the ultimatum to Japan, why weren't they willing to negotiate for the Emporer to have any power, even under a tight leash? Was he really that radical? What were some of his policies that would make the Americans so afraid even after the war was over?

What "oil"? Iraq is producing less oil now than it was before the war. If it was about oil the Americans and British could have just had sanctions lifted and purchased the stuff for $2 a barrel. It would have been a bit cheaper in terms of lives and money. You European fools you should try to rationalize yourself before saying America is all about natural resources not true. We Americans care about the potienal democracy of Iraq. Please think for yourseleves Europeans please start watching Bill O Rielly and cut down on that BBC news please. Fox is Fair and Balanced. BBC news was created to make America look evil.

As an American, it bothers me that our government (and I put the blame on BOTH major political parties) is making America look bad by invading other countries, condoning torture, etc. I took a class in college on US foreign policy from 1900 onward and my professor did a VERY good job of remaining neutral presenting the facts. I was absolutely appalled by how the US invaded other countries, sent CIA agents to assassinate people only because they had socialist leanings, etc. Actually, it appears the only justified war the US has engaged in since WW2 is Afghanistan, and that's only because they harbored an organization that actually attacked us. Anyway, enough of that tirade...

I am daily relieved that many people in the rest of the world seem to direct their anger only at the US government, not the people of the US. It gives me a sense of hope that things can get better still. So, how can the US heal relations with the rest of the world?

Ok I'm supposed to be "dissecting" one of Abe Lincoln's letters, so here is part of it:
"Nor am I able to appreciate the danger apprehended by the meeting, that the American people will, by means of military arrests during the rebellion, lose the right of public discussion, the liberty of speech and the press, the law of evidence, trial by jury, and habeas corpus, throughout the indefinite peaceful future, which I trust lies before them, any more than I am able to believe that a man could contract so strong an appetite for emetics, during temporary illness, as to persist in feeding upon them during the remainder of his healthful life"

-When talking about the right for him whether or not he can take certain rights away during the Civil War.

What exactly does this quote mean?? The way it's written really is messing with me..

I don't think most republicans will be paying off the Trillion dollar deficit.

I don't think republicans will have to deal with a destroyed planet due to global warming (which is not junk science, due a bit of research)

They act pro life, but they are really only concerned for themselves.

By all accounts, President Bush should have BURIED Kerry by a landslide, but his margin of victory was barely 1-percentage point above his more heatedly contested race against Al Gore in 2000. Why such the tight win?

My daughter was recently shown the movie " Equillibrium", a R-rated movie. No permission slip was sent home. Is this legal?
Also, the movie was shown so that a "moral" was learned. The moral was that God was a myth and should not be trusted. This was a Freshman English class. Is religion even permitted in a public school in this manner? Please help!!

I am constanly hearing of Christianity in England being politicaly attacked, a crusafix can not be worn openly by any official person, or even an air hostess. Christmas must now be carried out without christian symbolisim! Church addoption agencys are now being forced to accept gay addoption. Can you imagine what would happen if a law was passed that tried to even touch the least an islam belief? or any other protected "minority" in this country. Jack Straw comments on all over body robes and people protest to have in jail! why is it that the church should get all this sh1t thrown at it but all other religions exempt?

Last week Hillary was singing the praises of reducing our dependence on foreign oil by producing more ethanol. But she has voted at least 17 times against measures promoting ethanol production.

In 2002, Clinton even signed a letter that read in part: "There is no sound public policy reason for mandating the use of ethanol.”

Oh wait....maybe she has 'evolved' on this issue in addition to her gay marriage stance?
