By all accounts, President Bush should have BURIED Kerry by a landslide, but his margin of victory was barely 1-percentage point above his more heatedly contested race against Al Gore in 2000. Why such the tight win?

People were starting to wake up to Bush. What do you think the result would be today? Bush would lose, by a LARGE margin.

The people have practically the same choice but somebody had to win even by the slimmest margin.

Why? Look how few people vote. Of those that do we're pretty evenly divided between whose right - Republicans, and those wacky, always wrong liberal dems.
