Liberal and Conservative are labels of political philosophy. The Republican occasion is a political occasion based in Conservatism. The Democratic occasion is a political occasion based in Liberalism. there is not any Liberal "occasion" that i'm conscious of, merely Liberal political philosophy.

I like "The Dolphin", not very imposing, but they help people stranded out to sea.
If you've decided conservatism's symbol is a "Majestic Eagle" or a "Brave Lion", you should let liberals decide their own symbols.
In my experience with your questions, I believe you're inclined to choose one of the "joke" symbols, like "A GAY WHALE ABORTING IT'S YOUNG".
Please, prove me wrong.
